Other plug options have not proven to be effective for the N54 as of yet. Continue to use OEM plugs, sounds like you have sorted out your issues by going back to the OEMs.

my girl has the same code...long cranks every now and then, now they have been getting to the point where she gets them every morning she starts the car....and sometimes twice a day. Last week was the last straw for me...she got 2 instances of cranking for almost 5 seconds before the car started. Yanked the JB3 out and called my friend down at the dealer and we are bringing it first thing tomorrow morning.
I might as well leave it out against her persistence....maybe the G4 board will work better for her and I'll just wait.

They don't do anything for 2AAF. Just keep plugging away until the car won't run and take it in then.

Yeah with the way traffic is around here, its likely to fail in the middle the highway just like mine did...and put her in a bad situation. My friend who is a tech there does work through my SA and he manages to get work done against the 'fuel pump flow chart' routine that BMW has enforced.
My car back in 07 did the same thing. They flashed it first...it lasted 3 days and it $#@! the bed out of no where, causing the car to shut off and I almost got rear ended...
