Bolt on Cobb Accessport E85 tuned 2015 Subaru WRX makes 382 awhp on factory turbocharger
382 horsepower and 352 lb-ft of torque at the wheels is very impressive power from the 2015 Subaru WRX. Especially when you consider the car is on the factory turbocharger and only using bolt on modifications. Quite the increase from the factory 268 crank horsepower.
Tuning is through a Cobb V3 Accessport with a custom dyno tune from Johnson Tuning. E85 fuel is clearly making a big difference:
It is still on the factory intercooler as well. Not bad for just an intake, exhaust, upgraded fuel pump, and E85 tune.

Ive been kinda impressed with this gen Wrx. My friend ran 12.0 at 117mph with his stock turbo 2015. A sub 400whp modern midsize car running that trap is impressive to me.

They do make good power...until they pop. I know one friend personally who threw a rod in his stock turbo/downpipe/E85 2016 wrx and have read of a lot more of them blowing.
Partially blaming fuel limitations and probably tuning but almost every failure I know of is bending or throwing rods.
A lot of very prominent subie tuners much prefer the EJ because at least dropping in forged pistons makes a pretty reliable motor.

The EJ is figured out and no doubt cheaper to upgrade. This motor is the future though unless the WRX is killed off.

It is definitely the future but the FA20DIT isn't as great as a lot of people first thought.
A 2.5L version will probably make its way into the STI soon enough and I am sure it will get the bugs worked out eventually. But if the goal is more than stage 2 power I would stick to the old EJ.
The 2015/2016 STi is kind of the best of both worlds IMO because the new chassis is good.
