weird fuel trims and misfires on cold start

Here is a log of the cold start http://datazap.me/u/bigdaddyaaron/lo...ta=17-18-24-25

Recently, I developed a misfire on cold starts. The log shows bank 2 being sporadic in both stft and afr. On one cold start, the dme threw a code for a misfire on cly 4. Once the rpm's drop after 20 or so seconds, the car idles and drives normally. Any idea as to what may be happening?

Sounds like an injector. Move the coil from 4 to 3 to see if the misfire follows. But cold start misfires are normally injectors.

I'll give that a try. However, I only got that code once and that was about 8 days ago. Haven't had another since. A while back, I noticed that my bank 2 injectors are several index's older than my bank 1, though. changed my plugs to NGK's a few thousand miles ago as well.

Both of my e92s have had cold start misfires. Both times it was fuel injectors. I just got 6 new Index 12 injectors from BMW. I guess there is a 10yr/100,000 mile warranty that they don't want people to know about. The screen on the BMW computer even said ***Confidential**** LOL

HMMMMMMMMMMM. This sounds great. Did they update ecu firmware or anything? Anything that could mess with custom coding/MHD while they code the new injectors? I'd really like to take advantage of this lol.

My car's software was up to date. I have a buddy that does that for me. If your car's software isn't up to date, they may reflash the software. I think you'd have to reflash your MHD tune if that happens. I'm not sure though.
