      How do you stop your kids from speeding? Like this

      Kids borrowing cars that belong to their parents is a pretty normal thing. As is kids speeding in said car or having fun with something that is not theirs. This dad came up with a simple yet elegant solution to keep speeds in check.

      Not stupid if it works, right? What is somewhat amusing here is that with all the electronic tachs now being employed this would not really be possible on several newer cars.

      That is where the Valet mode comes into play. When I took my car to the body shop, I put it in valet mode and took the tuner with me. It opens the wastegate completely to eliminate all boost and does not allow the motor to rev over 3k.

      NO fun for you!

      I hate having to be forced to valet.

      I worked as a valet. I would never want to leave my car with those people. Plus a valet is a job for teenagers. How do you expect a teenager to treat a sports car?

      My parents got me a Ford Pinto Woody wagon with a 2.0L 4 cyl A/T .... they taught me patience without the sign.

      I could either go 70mph OR run the A/C ... not both.
