I know that a limp mode will reduce boost and power etc but the engine would in theory still feel like a straight 6 wouldn't it? (i.e. smooth).
      No, in limp mode it isn't smooth at all and is barely drivable (feels like it is running on 3 cylinders). That's how it is for me.
