700 hp Paxton blown Mustang 5.0 vs. Weistec supercharged W204 C63 AMG vs. 700 hp WRX STI vs. 800 hp Mazdaspeed 3

Some good runs here but unfortunately all of the cars do not run each other. The camera car is a Paxton Blown Mustang 5.0 GT Coyote with roughly 700 horsepower. It captures the action as the cars go at it on the highway.

The first run is the 700 horsepower STI vs. what is said to be an 800 horsepower Mazdaspeed 3. We would love to know the mods on the Mazda as it is fast! Very, very fast. It makes easy work of the STI from a 60 mph roll the STI itself being no slouch. They go at it again and the second time the STI gets a better start and holds off the Mazda.

The STI then goes up against the Mustang camera car. The camera work is poor on this run but the Mustang gets the hit and holds off the STI.

Next up is the Mustang and the C63 AMG and they do several runs. The first run has the Mustang jump and it takes an easy lead which it holds. The C63 gets a much better start in the second run and opens a quick lead thanks to the twin screw torque and holds it up top thanks to the M156 top end.

The final run between the Mustang and the C63 again has a quick count with the Mustang getting on the throttle first. It is a good race between the two but the GT edges slightly up top.

We wish we had more detailed specs on the cars but good runs nevertheless.

    Edit

    Mazdaspeed 3 specs:

    built 2.3
    built head
    PTE6466
    e85
    lots of boost

Assuming these are crank HP numbers? Idk but that MS3 didn't look that fast to me. I would've liked to see the Benz and the MS3 go at for comparison sakes.

Yeah more runs would have helped for context but I thought that MS3 was very fast on the first run.

I've never seen a legitimately fast MS3 in my life... still don't think I have. Was the 5.0 just holding off the throttle to video the race??

Good question. I think it was just serving as the camera car but trying to keep up too.

More runs would have answered these questions.

The ms3's are DI and usually limited by fuel and their engines like to go boom even when built. Also they are wrong wheel drive so only "fast" from a roll.
But they all look like fun cars.

I have a friend with one and every single time we race (probably 4 separate occasions by now), he adds more power to it and the results are the same. went from street tires, to drag radials, to hoosier dr2, and now hes on some sort of slick lol. I think hes now around 750whp for this coming spring and has high hopes to do well against cars he lost to last time. The car is very fast, but traction seems to be his biggest issue. He could have beat a lot of those cars (including me) on his lower power levels no doubt, if only he would hook lol

i wouldnt call them slow as the are several MS3 vehicles in 10's in a quarter. pretty sure the fastest street'd N54/N55 are only in the 10's as well, unless i missed a 9second pass somewhere, which i may have. There are several 700-800whp Mazdaspeed3 and Mazdaspeed6 (awd) out there. I personally know all the owners and the tuners that tuned them.

Jake at motiv used to tune them a long time ago I think lol. There was a pretty powerful ms6 here in md but he sold the car. guy named chris. supposedly made over 700whp.

thats a friend of mine. was on his way to 800awhp but decided he wanted to go another direction. Yes his name is Chris. he is building a fully built turbo Miata right now. Something to the tune of 400hp or so in a go cart, lol.

there was another Black one owned by a kid name dave, which put down around the same power. he and chris were good friends.

Yeah they make power easily like the N54 but also are pretty "slow" like the N54 when compared to their supposed power output.
The MS6's are AWD so shouldn't have troubles with traction and make big power on the dyno but they are barely in the 10's (just got there in 2015 finally). The drivetrain isn't as strong as the STI. There is a terrible facebook group (AWD_ARMY) where there is constant hate between subaru's and MS6's. It is kind of funny just to read idiots arguing back and forth.

This is true, for having the amount of power they do, n54s are somewhat underperforming up to this point. I stay away from fb groups most of the time, especially those awd ones.

lol, im on AWD Army as well. and i just sit back and laugh. facts, they do all act like idiots. Sometimes they get annoying, haha. every so often i see a meaningful post on there, lol.

The drivetrain itself is pretty strong. Only thing people have been doing at those power levels are upgraded rear axles and upgraded diff mounts. the Subie drivetrain is a little more performance oriented than the Speed6 drivetrain tho. and the Speed6 being FWD bias with only the ability to send 50% power to the rear i beleive is were the issue arises for them in 1/4 mile times and 60foots. thant and the speed6 is 3600lbs or so.

I will say tho, many of the high power Speeds out there could use some driver mods. as i know them. some of those cars have the potential to be much faster, just need driver work.

I'm very big in the Mazda scene. so anything Mazda i have personal ties and know most of them, lol.

yea, the car scene in general is a small world. especially nowadays with social media. if you know Chris, he may or may not have mentioned my other car.
