KW releases V3 (Variant 3) coilover suspension system for the new R172 SLK55 AMG

The new SLK55 AMG makes for one of the better drivers cars in the Mercedes lineup due to being a lightweight (for a Mercedes in the USA) two seat roadster. The new Variant 3 suspension allows for the car to be lowered between 5mm to25mm at the front and 15mm to 30mm in the back. The rebound settings are adjustable as well by 16 setting and the compression has 12 settings.

These coilovers will allow an SLK owner to adjust the suspension completely to their preference. DDC (dynamic damping control) compatible coilovers are being working on.

These retail for 1770 British pounds which works out to about $2700 although US pricing has yet to be announced.

It's been over three years since the OP! Has anybody had any experience with these, or the DDC Plug n Play version? Thanks!

The platform is not exactly highly modded unfortunately.

Sticky- yep...that's for sure. I just don't get how some call this a "women's car" but that's allright...they can go on while others are grinning from ear to ear....eye of the beholder and all that, I guess. I'll probably be one who goes this route after acquisition. I just see this as a real FUN car. lol. Thanks again, Sticky!

It's a very fun car it just has a stigma associated with it as it's a small roadster but many small roadsters suffer from that.
