      Mercedes E550 on the Autobahn at 187mph!

      Last week, a few of my buddies took their Euro-Specs 2010 Mercedes E550s to the Autobahn. The following video shows two E550s:

      1. Stock 2010 E550 (5.5 V8, 382hp) with the 159mph-limiter (255km/h)
      2. Stock 2010 E550 with the limiter removed

      The first E550 goes down the Autobahn with 159mph while the second overtakes him at 187mph (GPS measured!)!

      I had this debate a long time ago whether or not the M273 E550 was capable of hitting 186 MPH or not, thank you for finally proving it!! I'm curious how the 4-Matic 5G-Tronic versus the 7G-Tronic cars differ though in top speed, given the same ratios as the E55 I'm sure gearing "running out" isn't a problem, but also depends on the rear end for the E550 too.
