Start Up Problem
Posting this here on this site since everyone here is much more technical than on the other forum.
Basically, two weeks ago .75 gallons of meth went into my chargepipe in some freak accident. I didn't realize until I started the car and the car was misfiring like crazy and stalled out. Tried turning the ignition on, nothing. 3-4 times of turning on the ignition, car finally started. Left car on flat surface for 2 hours to idle, everything is fine now. Sent logs to Terry, no problems he can see on his end.
Now im having a problem after this incident, where SOMETIMES, it takes two times to start up the car. The first time the car will start out. But there's no codes at all. Nada. The second time it starts fine and no problems. This usually happens when I've already driven the car, and I turn it off.. And within 10-15 min turn on the car and again and then it happens. It's random though.
I did an oil change since the accident in case the meth may have passed through the rings. My tech at BMW doesn't think it's the spark plugs. My guess is it might be the fuel pump. The E85 station is 2 min from my house and since 1200 miles (I have 9800 now) I've been running 4-5 gallons of E85 every week. I think the E85 is making the fuel pump lose pressure and it has to re-pressurize sometimes when I start it. The E46 M3 guys had this problem on their car. The only thing that makes my tech think it may NOT the fuel pump is that I would have gotten codes if it was since there's so much more electronics involved with this car than the E46.
I've attached a video of the issue at hand.

Maybe a sensor was saturated during that incident. Take a look under the manifold where you say it puddled and see if there is a sensor that is there. Maybe replace that one first. Could also be the charge pipe sensors as well. Maybe a vacuum line is also filled with liquid that is suppose to allow air to bypass the throttle plate during starting and idle. That's all I can think of.

No it never got resolved
My tech at BMW said there aren't any vacuum lines in the manifold or the throttle body but it IS possible the sensors in the theottle
body did get soaked. The situation is so abnormal and the engine is so new that it's difficult to pinpoint.
At this point I think im going to deal with the problem and when November rolls around, I will demod the car and have BMW have their way with it. I wasn't going to drive the car from Novermber to beginning of March as it is because of the winters here.

So I got this fixed and it had nothing to do with the meth or JB4 or anything lol. It was the stupidest thing!
I got a Blackvue dashcam installed two months ago which would give me battery discharge errors overnight if I didn't take out the power when parked at home. I've started making it a habit to unplug the dashcam at home and leave it plugged in anywhere else. Haven't had the start up problem again
