    sooooo....am i the only one wondering what good a 4" outlet would do, with the same compressor size wheels....and a 3.5" exhaust..... its not like its 4" or greater all the way to the very end of the exhuast....or am i just ignorant and dont know what im talking about?

    Yes, I've never been huge into the N55 game. I'm getting back into a BMW soon and currently doing my research on N55s since the platform is now advancing and it's getting harder and harder to find low milage N54. Which cars have EWG vs PWG? Which cars have the 3" compressor inlet vs the 4"? What is the HP record on the 3" turbo vs the 4"? Is it possible to fit the upgraded CW and cover from the 4" inlet turbo on the 3" inlet turbo?

    Whats there to explain? The turbine housing is smallest area causing the restriction. And thats the same on ewg and pwg cars. The 3 or 4" exit
    afterwards does not matter. Also eg on F series the remainder of the exhaust is
    close to 3". Dynoes have proven both cars making 530-540 whp. One dyno reads a tad higher then the other.
