I can't wait for these to be released. I used one of his manifolds for a e36 build years ago and had great results. These won't be for everybody but for those who enjoy having up he rest of the motor will definitely save us some money. I like working out the details.

If its not a cast piece I see no reason why they couldnt. The only difference of course is price.

No no. Let him think all he needs is a "downpipe". We will wait for him to post a final build cost. Yes a turbo, misc fitting, and a downpipe. Done....Click here to enlarge

Right now that's $3800. My guess is that the total kit is probably going to run 5500-5900 dollars when its all said and done. The only thing that's missing is the hot pipe, downpipe, water outlet pipe, oil/water lines, and the fittings to run the boost control solenoid on the EFR turbos

Was it Steed Speeds FB page or CES? Because I think he said that's actually an 8473. But It's the same size as the 9180 or something.

No one else sees the IWG not even close to being seated in its bracket, and if it was it directly in front of the water port. To me that doesn't look like very solid fitment.

I was going to say something about the wastegate placement but I didn't want to sound stupid if I was wrong lol
It all definitely looks like a tight squeeze and it's being advertised as a 1000whp package

Look at the compressor housing...it's buried in the frame rail heat shield.

edit: doesn't look like you can access all of the manifold nuts with that setup either...

So is it safe to say that the 9180 is too big?

Oh I saw that too. But if the IWG is blocking the water port, how can you get around that? Seems like some serious fitment issues. My only guess is, someone posted some very early fitment pics when they should not have. When building Stage 3, it took sometimes 4-5 revisions to get things to fit right. If we posted early pics, it would have appeared it would never fit. Maybe that is what we have here? Because if that is final fitment, yikes.

That "up pipe" section looks like it's a 90° right angle turn from log flow direction to turbo flow direction.... Ouch, I can't imagine that being very friendly. That's what would scare me the most of that design. But as little as they are showing perhaps it's just a bad camera angle? If not, that certainly needs revising, no flow model in the world is gonna show that as being ideal.

That is from the n5x enthusiast fb group. Steed is posting the pics and info. Looks like a tight fit. As for the 90° outlet from what I have seem most turbo kits are set up like that.

With a sharp corner? Hmmmmm.... I don't think so, all I've seen used is a radiused turn. A sharp 90° never flows well. I'm not a fan of sharp 90s on intercooler entrances either and its been shown to cause a restriction. Your laminar flow is interrupted and creates tremendous turbulence which is not a good attribute for a design.

I have to believe it's a bad camera angle, I couldn't fathom so much time and effort going into a manifold and that be part of it. Perhaps steed speed can lay those concerns to test with a better image of that area?

That was the first thing that came up to my mind when i saw the picture. He stated on FB that it has been addressed.

I'd like to show you the insides but for obvious reasons I can't just yet. There are no 90 degree turns in the manifold. The passages scavenge on every single cylinder and the velocity at the turbo flange is very strong. Yes, that wastegate actuator was not able to fit but it has been replaced with another which does fit well enough for testing. I will be making very slight adjustments to the turbo flange location to make for easy installation on production models and to use the originally sourced wastegate actuator. From what we have seen and measured it will be no problem running the 9180.
