    OTS e30 race map datalog

I went to OSW today and I only trapped 111 mph so I decided to datalog some runs.

is 3-5 degrees of timing correction normal for post shift on a 6spd?

I have seen it on hard shifting. Let me go dig through my logs. There is a certain something to be said for trying to be smooth with quick shifts.

No, it isn't at all. You have multiple corrections per gear on every cylinder. You definitely don't have enough octane. What fuel are you running?

Also, your sig says JB4 but that looks like a Cobb log.

Those timing dropouts are basically constant, I wouldn't even call it "post shift" behavior a la the 6AT flatline.

You are short on octane most likely. Could be a spark or ignition issue as well.

Yeah, on my logs that showed some timing being pulled on hotter days -needed more octane- the same logs also showed more timing being pulled on shifts. Once I upped my ethanol percentage everything got better. I still get some noise on shifts but that's not a big deal.

Interesting seeing a COBB E30 OTS maps with sub 18 psi. Usually its 18-19 PSI,maybe its just me, the boost curve seems a perfect fit for your car being an OTS map ? Did you do some tweaking to this map ?

Keep in mind during this time of the year E85 is not E85, its more like E78-E70. So there is a possiblity your were not running E30.

Go here http://e85prices.com/milesperdollar.htm use the table to the buttom and recalculate your blends

The logs look like an E30 map run on 91 octane.

Thanks guys. Its most likely I didn't put enough e85. I was under the assumption that the shell 93 v power had 10% ethanol and e85 was 85%. I'm currently running the valet Cobb map because I'm throwing a P30FF under boost code. I'm pretty sure its my DVs are leaking. I did the $2 bov mod and everytime I get onto boost you'll a loud hissing noise coming from the left side. Next week I'm ordering a charge pipe and bov. I'm also going retighten the FMIC couplers and replace the vaccum hoses.

Yeah, I always assume pump gas has zero ethanol, to play it safe. Looking at your logs you need a LOT more octane. Good luck.

I have this same thing in mine 6MT, not nearly the timing the OT is showing but -2 or so due to (changes between logs based on shift time and harshness) shifts that are to quick/hard. These cars are odd like that i often get better results with a slower smooth shift as well.

Stockers really shouldn't leak unless they are simply worn out, I am running 19.5 PSI on stockers till my ST gets here and have no leaks (not the only one) if money is a factor I would look into other area's of boost leak possibilities first.

I had a ton of issues with the E30 OTS map. I had issues flashing it (going into recovery mode multiple times), logs were never clean. Overboost issues. I had PTF do my e50 pro tune and I've never looked back. You should consider it once you work out the minor boost leaks now that you are on Cobb. Obviously, have them tune for e30 instead of e50 unless you have a supporting fuel pump upgrade.

Didn't order anything yet however I did go to the 1320 today and she trapped 115.75mph on the e30 race map. I only ran a 13 flat because I can't launch this car for crap but I'm learning. Today was my 4th trip to strip with this car. Hopefully I'll be in the 11s by the end of this year

Eesh, what was your 60' and 330'? You have a lot of room for a better E.T. with that trap speed. I've got 12.2 @ 118 on my 6MT. What tires are you running also?

Stock tires my 60 ft was a 2.345. Last time I was out there I was able to cut a 2 flat. I need the driver mod bad. Also I notice that the car kinda bogs when you shift 3-4..

I'm also on the stock clutch right now. She started slipping right now so that money that was going to be spent on that BOV is towards a 335is clutch lol
