    ShotGun HPFP uprgade update

Got the all the final samples back today except the pulley, they broke a tool an its supposed to be done Friday.

The housing, and mounting plate have to made in 2 pieces to keep machining costs down, this means we have grooves machined in that accept the plate, and then we have each housing Tig Welded. We will have this one welded tomorrow, and get it test fit soon, as long as everything fits as it should, we just have to final assembly fit on a the test vehicle, and start a machining run. A run of parts can take anywhere from 30-45 days depending on how backed up the queue is, sometimes longer, we are hoping they can get them done quickly for us. Excited to get these things out there, and running on some fast cars. Thanks for your patience!

I'm sorry about the attachments I really don't understand why the system is causing you trouble.

In my defense, the Vbulletin attachment system is a pile of $#@! to begin with.

With a fuel cell you could run race gas or e85 mixed with pump if you wanted a blend for those go fast moments.

personally i want E85 all day everyday. live near a station with it, work near a station getting it haha.. and it's 1/8-1/10th the price of race gas here.. so actually cheaper just to build it for E85, long term at least.

Some people don't have access to it, and it can be nice to have some racegas for some maps, also depending on your fueling capacity.

For those not near an E85 station, I'd stick pump in my tank and some Racegas or E85 in the fuel cell. That way you don't have to refill it so often if you stay off that PI map. Myself, I live only a couple miles from E85.

Good news! Production orders for the shotgun parts were placed today. We had a hold up because we consulted a metallurgist to make sure we had the rockwell hardness of the shafts as close to the oem drive shaft as possible to imitate its wear characteristics, and provide long trouble free life. He suggested a certain type of stainless, and a heat treating process to get it where it needs to be, so that took some extra time we did not account for. We placed orders for housings, shafts, and pulleys today. So looking forward to getting these done for everyone.

Also a bonus the N55 we have here to get a stage 2, and shotgun is on the lift. It looks like the Shotgun should bolt right into the N55's, well at least this 2011 135...Click here to enlarge

@VargasTurboTech - Does the dual shotgun kit use the existing HPFP? Is so, it's just one stock HPFP, not two?

Was the 650whp run you made done on a single or double barrel kit? If on the double, whats the expected max power output of the single kit straight E85?

Double, all these estimates are in the original thread, but Single Barrel 100% E85 500-550WHP area is about maxed, on race gas much higher. Double barrel, we are at 650 and not even close to its limit yet.
