The Audi SQ5 gets an ECU tune and pulley upgrade for its 3.0 TFSI supercharged V6 courtesy of APR - +91 all wheel horsepower
The Audi SQ5 is essentially a higher performance version of the Q5 3.0 TFSI. Both cars use the same basic motor but the engine is in two different states of tune. The standard Q5 3.0 TFSI has 272 horsepower. The SQ5 bumps this to 345 horsepower stock. As APR already showed us with the Q5 3.0 TFSI the engine is highly tunable as their pulley and ECU upgrade gains 132 horsepower at the wheels.
On the SQ5 this difference is 91 horsepower at all four wheels due to the higher state of tune the car starts in. The cars when tuned with a pulley put out basically the same power. The SQ5 stock shows 296 horsepower at wheels and on 93 octane with a tune and pulley shows 361 horsepower at the wheels.
The standard Q5 3.0 TFSI shows 244 stock at the wheels and 364 horsepower at the wheels on 93 octane. So, you get the same thing from both once tuned as they both use the same motor with the ECU tune being the main difference.
That said, the SQ5 shows gains of 91 additional horsepower at the wheels on 100 octane with a pulley for a total of 387 wheel horsepower. This is a very tunable performance SUV and additionally the tune is flashed through the OBD-II port.
