You're welcome!
Interesting: Eurocharged's tune that doesn't require "cracking" the ECU housing (as shown on the front page of this site).
"It's 100% working for all 63's, 300's, 350's, 550's, and the 450.
No initial opening required.
I'm sure a few members can chime in and explain
how we tuned theirs without opening the ECU.
Our new programmer will be released in a few days and it can store multiple tune files and the stock file.
Jerry is still working on the Bi-Turbo V8's, but all of the others are ready to go."Last edited by Dueclaws; 05-15-2012 at 02:30 PM.

This is from another site. The vehicle is a '12 CLS550 with the M278 engine. I've asked if it was a 4Matic or 2 wheel drive, but don't have an answer yet.
"I did the RENN Tech ECU tune on 5/01/2012. We did not do a baseline run at the track but did go to PBIR later that day (eve) . Had not been to the track in 10 years. My first pass was actually fairly good considering. Ran 12.9 / 112. Did several more passes and each time improved a tenth. Steve, the guy who drives the 9 and 10 second Benz's and also , (I believe ) the 11 sec CLS63 AMG took mine down a few times and got to 12.3. It was getting late and the conditions were very warm and humid.
This was with tune only. With a few more trips to the track and different tires and of course other mods no doubt the car will be in the 11's. DYNO RWHP 436 TQ 510"

Update per the owner of the vehicle:
"I guess you could call it 2 wheel drive. Its really 1 wheel with esp. At the track you need to do "dyno"

I would think we should see LSD's for these things fairly quickly. It just makes no sense they don't have it to begin with.

Quaife makes a LSD for CLS550, E 550 sedan, and for 2011 and older E 550 Coupes. As discussed in a previous thread, the stock or Quaife LSD and housing assembly for a C63 will fit. but its different ratio might thow a curve to the transmission's computer and ESP computer.
Brabus told me they'd make one for my '12 E550C, but they want $7,000 and I must ship the differential to Germany.....sure: gonna do that...

hi, just drove my new Mercedes 12 e500 with the Brabus engine kit and it is a rocket..
this Brabus kit made all the diffrence as the car is very fast off the line. i think it will do 0 to 100KM in the low 4 sec..
one thing i dont like is the tire grip as my E500 is a rear wheel drive and with this power it is very hard to get a grip.
in manual mode when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear the wheels spin. its that fast.
so anyone considering the Brabus engine kit, i say it was worth $8,000 and i am very happy with it. by the way the kit came with an extra cooler.

Brabus is saying about 500hp. i know $8,000 is very expensive but i am very confident of Brabus that they do a perfect job. if i have any issues i know i can count on them.

CLS550 WITH RENNTECH UPGRADE
I have a new 2014 MB CLS 550 with Renntech upgrade
One word: phenomenal
Performance over stock is startling
Much better power band with no rev limiter or top speed governor(factory is 149mph...Renntech is 189 mph)
Acceleration is superb..pins you to the seat back
Still, admittedly, some momentary turbo lag, but not as bad as Porsche 911 Turbos I have owned for instance
Performance is even greater with the CLS when you realize it's a big heavy 4 door coupe, not sedan, as MB refers to it as a coupe due to no center window pillar
Mid range acceleration 50-130 is incredible
Very smooth, but tons of power when you need it..or want it!
I might add that handling is also superb...the huge rear tires make a big difference, but for a big car, the handling is remarkable
..stable, solid and quick
I have had many high performance cars and currently also have a Dodge Viper
which is a different type of fast!
I chose the CLS over a Panamera...liked the styling better and performance with the twin turbos..engine is just awesome!
Hey...
We welcome terahertz5k
