O.k., when you search closely in the web, you find enough material to analyze MKB1000.Especially the v-max run in Papenburg Germany with 350 KM/H with GPS.Remember this record was done in the Black Series Car, which needs MUCH more Power than a standard SL65 because of its downfoce layout and bad dragcoeff. I don't say it has 1000 HP, but I can assure you, that you will NOT reach this times with a tune only SL65. I have tested my own 65 which has a very good tune and I compared the acceleration from 300-330 KM/H to the MKB car.

you really have no knowledge of this "MKB1000". A PP-Performance naturally asspirated C63 with only Headers/Tune beat it in the doblin one mile run. Both in trap speed and elapsed time. I can post the results if you have not seen them. So Please dont say that it cant be compared to some some tuned 65's, when alot of tuned 65's spanked it in europe.I really dont know what tune you have, but reaching 350km/hr from a tuned SL65 isnt difficuilt.
That Car is an Epic Fail

I know the white MKB P1000 which ran the mile in Berlin.Do you know, that this car had a failed IC-Pump on this run?? I think you did not get my point.I compared the acceleration from 300-330 in seconds and there you can compare power very well.Especially when the BS needs much more power at high speeds than standard SL. I know how much v-max a 65 can get with a tune. This is a different story.

Excuse me, A failed IC-Pump?? who gave you that lie? Maybe this was another race that you are talking about. I am talkin about this one:
http://www.dragtimes.com/video-viewe..._I&feature
I was there at the event with PP-Performance
Certainly it was running in perfect condition without a so called a failed IC Pump. If thats true , then why did they bring it to compete?
lastly, an IC pump isnt an excuse to be beaten by a NA C63

moreover here are the results of the event,
http://www.race-at-airport.de/index....=6&event_id=51
It clearly shows the "MKB 1000" trapping 280km/hr
hit the "Klasse" tab and choose "pro" and you will find the C63 trapping 281.6
the SL finished the mile in 32 seconds and the C63 finished it in 30seconds. They ran beside eachother and everybody was shocked at how weak the SL was for the claimed HP rating ahahah
and if you say it had a failed IC Pump, then why did they run it about three or four more times afterwards. It got squashed by the novitec Ferrari as well

This was exactly this event. The Audi S2which ran against the MKeB was behind up to 250when the MkB suddenly nearly stopped accelerating.Audi reached 292 and MKB was still in front with kind of 280you can see videos. This was the only 1 mile event in germany, so no chance to try again with fixed pump.

There is clearly something wrong with the car when a stock BS65 can reach 290 kmh in the mile with 670HP.

To give you some figures:
MKB P1000 in Papenburg/Germany you can see the video of the run on youtube, with professional GPS-Equipment and camera. 300 -330 KM/H it needs 12 Seconds. I have a really good calculator with DragCoeff, Weight, different Gear Ratios, Tire-Size etc. and I made the work to fill in all data from the SL65 Black Series. For this 12 Seconds time you need approx. 850 Crank-HP (approx. 750 RwHP) in the Black-Series. So no 1000 HP, but at least much stronger than every good Tune-Only SL65.
I also analyzed Speedrivens run from Soulsearchers SL600/with Garrett GT30 based turbos at the Texas mile with 191 MPH, 29 Seconds. The one only 198 MPH run for me is not all clear, because there was a lot of tailwind on this day, and all cars ran approx. 10 MPH faster that day. So i took the 191 MPH / 307 KM/H run. In the normal R230 Chassis this relates in my calculations to approx. 800 Crank HP - approx. 700 RWHP.
These are only my own calculations for my private use, but it should give a little picture, how difficult it is to get real 1000 HP out of these engines and also to get the times on the road and not only for a short dyno-session.

@SLS AMG
You can see that my calculations are not far off when you take PP-Performance fastest White Turbo SL63 R231 with 820 HP. Look at the GRIP V-Max test 2014 from German TV from Abu Dhabi where Matthias tested V-Max of SL63 from PP-Performance. This car needs also exactly 12 Seconds from 300-330 KM/H, but this is in the much more aerodynamic SL63 R231.
So my former calculations of approx. 850 HP for MKB P1000 in the SL65 Black Series Chassis with 0,37 Drag-Coeff.(German CW-Wert) seems to be quite accurate.Last edited by 65AMG; 05-27-2014 at 07:08 AM.

The run from the MKB with Gforce data was TÜV approved, this is why they went to Papenburg.
I bet you have not even took a look in the GRIP-Test from SL63. You can follow the speedo on a relatively even road and 300-330 KM/h 12 seconds is 12 seconds whether it's in Dubai or in the U.S. or elsewhere in the world.
To each its own. But I hate when someone only says with big words that the MKB BS is even slower than a stock BS. It should be obvious that there was something wrong with the car, it makes no sence to tune a car and after the tune it has less HP than stock. I'm not a MKB fanboy, the price for this conversion is ridiculous. I have much better option to tune, but I still try to make a fair comparison for the outcome.

This is the video of MKB P 1000 in Papenburg, Data was measured with the V-Box system from Leitspeed and TÜV:

Where is it, show us the approval please!
All I saw from this car was a 281km/hr one mile trap speed, a race lost againt a naturally asspirated C63, and an 11.2 quarter mile run
I bet you have not even took a look in the GRIP-Test from SL63.[/QUOTE]
I did and I never questioned the power from the PP-Performance SL63. Please come back to the MKB argument
And I also hate when someone takes a video from youtube or a TV show as a basis on particular car's performance without verified data or real world results!

Performance-Box, DriftBox or the used V-Box from Leitspeed is accurate enough for me, if you can see at the same time that you are not driving downwards from a hill... And the road in Papenburg is build for testing on a even road.

WHERE IS THE VERIFICATION?
post it, because I do not belive it.
My Brother's Supercharged SL63 hit 6.86s on an uphill, and as far as the record it is still the fastest SL on the planet from 60-130mph, It was verified on dragtimes on the followng link:
http://dragtimes.com/Mercedes-Benz-S...lip-25207.html
Now that particular SL63 will tear the "MKB1000" apart my friend
You can talk all you want. but I have seen this so called "MKB1000" at diffrent events in Europe and on every time it ran it wasnt runnig like they were claiming. I have seen it beaten against a roadster SL65 tuned by Evotech and the diffrence was large.
maybe claimed numbers and youtube videos fool you, but they dont certainly fool me.
MKB has yet to show us a dynosheet of this "1000hp" SL. Try emailing them about it and lets see how they reply to you
We emailed them about it various times and got nothing!

The problem in my opinion is that these expensive MB cars often are in hands who only have the money to buy it, but at the same time don't even understand how to race a car or datalog if it is running right or not. They even don't really notice if it has 750 or 850 HP. Not saying how much tire pressure or what drag tires to use for a 1/4 mile race and so on.
I'm not fooled of any Tuner, i make my research before I buy the package. Believe me, I know the different tuners on the market and what you get from them. I have my own experiences, this is why I don't always believe 1000HP claims, even when I see a 1000 HP dyno sheet.
I said it has more like 850 HP instead of 1000 HP when its running healthy, although I have their 1015 HP Dynosheet from a Superflow. By the way, you can google the dyno sheet as a picture in the web when you put in "MKB P1000" . But as a said, most dynos can be adjusted in the way you want it.
