Colorado elevation doesn't stop an AMS Alpha 10 GTR from going 9.422 @ 152.33 in 5639 foot density altitude
Yes, we know the AMS Alpha 10 Nissan GTR package is fast. AMS quotes the package as capable of 9.1 @ 163 miles per hour. The GTR below is running this package except the difference is it is running it in high Colorado elevation.
How high? The density altitude according the weather conditions on the date and location (Pueblo Motorsports Park) came out to 5639 feet above sea level. That is some ridiculously high DA yet the GTR still runs 9's. Over 5000 feet sure has an impact on performance cutting about 10 miles per hour off the trap speed.
Forced induction pays dividends in high elevation as while naturally aspirated motors are struggling to breathe the turbos can mitigate this somewhat by compressing the air and the Alpha 10 car still is able to run 9's.
This is the quickest recorded GTR in Colorado, congratulations to AMS and the owner.

Wow. I'm planning on hitting a TnT night at PMSP one of these Fridays - maybe I'll see this car in person. Interestingly, the last time I was at Bandimere there was a Civic running 9s at 150+ with a turbo the size of a small buick. It is rare to see cars that fast up here. Stock 5.0s are in the 14s with Vipers running low 13s. One of the reasons I searched out a forced induction car
