Oopsie. Jaguar posted the image below to their global site with some 2015 XE details but quickly pulled the picture down. Well, not before the internet saved it forever and ever. Nothing too surprising here but the F-Type AJ126 3.0 liter direct injected and supercharged V6 is confirmed for the new Jaguar sedan.

The AJ126 in the F-Type comes in two levels of trim with a standard 340 horsepower supercharged version and a 380 horsepower version of the same basic motor. That means the XE potentially will offer 340-380 horsepower from its V6 and have quite a bit of tuning potential.

It should also offer a great power to weight ratio considering the all aluminum architecture. A lightweight sedan with a 380 horsepower supercharged V6? Sounds like an Audi S4 but more fun.

The real question will be if Jaguar intends to stuff their 5.0 liter supercharged V8 under the hood. If they do, they will offer the largest V8 in an entry level European sports sedan and a serious rival to the M3 and C63.
