Porsche officially comments on 2014 991 GT3 3.8 flat-6 engine issues - Urges owners to park their cars until they can be inspected
Porsche is being proactive about the potential engine issue with the 991 GT3 that can cause cars to go up in flames. Porsche intends to inspect all 2014 model year 991 GT3 vehicles and is recommending that owners do not drive their cars until they are inspected. It is good to see Porsche taking the issue seriously and quickly moving to resolve any potential defects. PorscheBoost should not have to remind owners to not drive their cars until they are inspected in the interest of their safety as well as that of the public.
785 cars will officially undergo inspection. Porsche's stance is that two cars in Europe caught fire and this is the reason for the inspection.
