    2011 BMW 550i start/stop oddity

Got my new to me 550i today. It seems to do something really weird.

When I stop, put it in park, then hit the start/stop button, it turns the engine off, but seems to leave the car in accessory mode, so if I get out of the car, the radio stays on. I have to push start/stop twice to get the car to actually turn off after I've put it in park before I get out to ensure the car is off.

    What am I doing wrong

I think my moms car does the same $#@!. I never knew how to turn it off, so I guess you have to push the button again after you turn it off huh.

I remember my radio staying on until I closed the car. Have you tried that rather than the 'double off' thing?

I think as soon as you lock it everything turns off. Do you have comfort access? My m3 does the same thing. I think it has to do with the comfort access feature.
