I think it's been the fastest. At least they said it was back in March 2012 when it did 206.xx at the Texas mile.

The company doing this is also testing an "alpha 1" kit that runs high 9s on stock engine and 19" wheels.

There are actually a handful of cars out there that have gone faster, hard to believe when you're talking about an 8 second, 160 MPH car to begin with. SVT Performance maintains a list of quarter mile times, they have 3 cars in the 7 second club and 5 cars in the 8 second club. Of these 8 total cars, 3 are turbo or twin turbo and the other five are SC'd. The fastest car to date is a twin turbo, it made a 7.02 @ 202 MPH pass...next closest car is "much slower" at 7.87 @ 173. No doubt these Coyote motors love the boost.

Unknown sir; I wish the tranny was one aspect of the mods that SVT would elaborate on a bit more. This car is an auto trans with built short block, tune, intake, head work, weight reduction, drive shaft, suspension, cams, slicks.
