Lifters
Hi, I have an ESS TS2 installed on my E36 330ci and I am currently getting the TS2+ and Schrick 248/256 cams.
The mechanic installing it is saying I should put new standard lifters in, ESS says I don't need to as long as they are in good condition,
Ive read you should match the lifters to the cam, if so which? although ESS said the standard ones are fine.
They current lifters have done 66k miles.
There seems to be so much experience on here and such conflicting advice on the web I thought I would ask for some advice.

Hi, welcome.
I'd talk to @THATDONFC if I were you.
Are your lifters in good condition? Replacing for piece of mind may be a good idea.BRAND NEW IN BOX 991.2 standard/non-pse SPW cat bypass pipe for sale - $899 shipped

Run em. No worries. If they don't tick, your good to go. I've built many M54 engines and many built M54s with aftermarket goodies.

The kit comes with a map to include the cams and EVO headers I'm putting on, once it's fitted in will upload the new map sent from ESS that's been fined to include them both

Got it all done and swapped the lifters, had a dyno and got 328bhp and 299lb/ft at the rear wheels on a dynapack RR, so very happy with those results
