Watch this video of the 2014 Porsche 991 GT3 using launch control and acceleration from 0-200 km/h

Cool little video from the French Magazine Motorsport showing the launch control of the new Porsche 991 GT3 in action. As the new GT3 comes with a PDK transmission only launch control is part of the package. It's tough to argue with the inclusion of PDK after seeing how smoothly the car launches from about 6500 rpm and how it rockets through the gears on its way to 124 miles per hour (200 km/h). The car is fast, very fast. Quite impressive the level of performance Porsche gets from a naturally aspirated 3.8 liter six cylinder.

It sounds glorious as well. It is difficult to gauge exactly how quickly it gets to 124 from the dead stop as Youtube does not break their timer down further beyond the full second. Regardless, it appears to be somewhere in the 12 second range which would put it close to a C6 Z06 acceleration wise.
