Positioning of that cooler suggests BMW think they can eliminate lag by reducing and reducing the amount of air between the turbos and inlet. Could they get any closer if they even tried?
I don't see that as being a bad thing? It would sharpen the throttle response the n54 lacks in comparison to the s65. Less lag than the n54 for the s55 would be great
