That's defininately an N54. I don't think they started putting N55 in 335is until 2012 or 2013.

Just get them to take a picture of the engine bay & email it to you. It's pretty clear which is which if you open the hood

Could even just ask them "Does it say Twin Power Turbo?" on the engine cover, only the N55 had things written on it's cover

Dealer called me back last night to confirm twin turbo which everyone here said already...... I went this morning the 45 miles to check it out... I went over it with a fine tooth comb and it appears that there was some water that came in from somewhere as I put my fingers down under the dash around the OBD port and behind and there was some dirt/mud there which someone missed on their clean up post hurricane............ also some water marks under/around the base of the rear seat which were not buffed out.... the Car fax was clean but there was a big gap from 7/12 to 08/13 which may be normal as it would get emissions done then but that is also normal for the cars drowned in Hurricane Sandy
I am kind of surprised at car Fax as I know one of my cars previously was wrecked with $5k worth of damage and it never showed up... and for the huge number of cars drowned in NY during the Hurricane very few are showing up on car fax unless they were total insurance right offs
But as the 2013 335is also has the N54 so I am going to look at some of them.... fully optioned they sell for M3 type rates thoughDriving fresh air now

Buy a DCT m3 :-)
One can easily smack a car up and pay out of pocket to fix it and avoid any carfax records.. its def not perfect. I like it for service records more than accidents... doing what you did was perfect and thats how you determine if there was an accident..09 6AT 335i Coupe M-Sport - SOLD

Just saw its smithtown competition... i have people who work there who can tell me what they think of the car....
I didnt even realize it was certified , i dont think bmw would be stupid enough to pay money to get the car certified if it was flood damaged but i also didnt think they would run my car without oil and blow my engine at that exact dealer either LOL...
Im going to go take a look at that car one of these days, Id love to point out to them that there is flood damage and make them look silly but i have my doubts09 6AT 335i Coupe M-Sport - SOLD

My mate who works on Mercs is going over there now to take a look at a few cars... he thinks I am wrong and that they would not put a Sandy car as CPO.. he reckons even road gunk can collect in places you wouldn't expect... but my experiences with NY based BMW dealers has been appalling across the board

Bought my g35 from their Infiniti dealer next door. Not the best experience with the service department who, among other things cleaned my 5000 dollar work vs-xx with acid that spotted the lips, installed the wrong clutch (long story) told me every problem I had with the car was "normal" and made me swap my lowering springs out to go on the lift because "the shop manager just got new floors and is anal so he can't just put down boards"This was in addition to many other "issues"All in all they suck
