C63 Weistec tuned P31 Vs. P31 C63 With MidPipe + Xpipe
Great video showing that there is in fact an improvement for the P31 C63's with a tune from Weistec. Something some other tuners are not able to do!
Here is a Weistec Tuned P31 C63 (completely Stock with only an ECU tune) running against a stock P31 C63 having a midpipe + Xpipe(which add an additional 10-15whp).

I'm perfectly aware of that. But they are not the only ones who pick up power in the P31 cars. Eurocharged for example have also been able to tune the P31 motor and get more hp. And if someone wanted to run a race fuel only they would be able to pick up even more. It's not rocket science.

Judging by the pano roof of the camera car that's a c63 coupe with the new MCT trans and the other car is a pre 2012 sedan with the 7G torque converter trans .. The new cars with the MCT have shown to be faster on rolling runways races so take that into account ! I'm sure your bro with his sl63 knows how good a trans the MCT is at full throttle

The MCT only became available for the c63 after the facelift aka 2012+ models you can clearly tell in the video the black car is a pre facelift model look at the headlights ! And a dead giveaway is it has fog lights instead of a LED strip like the new models. So being non facelift it has the 7G torque converter trans not the MCT

The MCT will have the advantage on rolling starts with the less drivetrain loss and much quicker shifts but the 7G might be better for dig races/ standing starts

Roll on race video between a Weistec tuned P31 W204 C63 AMG and a P31 W204 C63 AMG with exhaust
The P31 package offered as an option for the W204 C63 AMG is an excellent factory tuning package. AMG really outdid themselves and essentially squeezed out what aftermarket tuners are able to gain on the C63 AMG themselves. The package is more than just a tune however and for those unfamiliar it also includes stronger forged pistons, rods, and the crankshaft that see duty in the SLS AMG M159 V8.
Mercedes-Benz claims power increases from 451 horsepower to 481 horsepower but in practice it seems to be even stronger than the MB claims. Just look at this race between a stock P31 C63 AMG versus a tuned standard C63 AMG with filters and a cat delete. Mercedes-Benz offers very aggressive factory software for the P31 cars.
Due to how aggressive the stock software is many tuners struggle with improving upon the tune. The P31 tune is so good some (now somewhat defunct) tuners would flash the stock Mercedes P31 software onto C63's. What shows skill that separates tuners is things like getting extra power on P31 cars.
Check out the race below between two P31 equipped C63 AMG's one of which is tuned by Weistec. The tuned car takes the P31 car significantly up top showing a horsepower difference. Keep in mind that the tuned car which pulls has the MCT transmission while the other P31 car (due to the option coming on the market before the MCT was featured in the C63) has the 7G transmission. It is definitely a factor but regardless horsepower wins this race.

+1. You are very correct
you sure do know alot for someone who doesnt own an M156
Weistec's naturally asspirated tune is very powerful. I have a friend with a 2012 C63 coupe running with supersprint headers and catless downpipes. It previoulsy had a moderate tune.I tuned his ECU with Weistec and the car is pulling really good, it dynoed 491whp.
It was also beating the 2010 C63 running the same headers and an OE tune. it did 60-130 in 8.2 on a hot 37C day.Weistec Supercharged SL63 AMG

I do not doubt it I'm trying to get a graph for their P31 tune. @Weistec
