    C63 Coupe - BS Oil/Trans Cooler, MBH Headers + More !

I have a 2012 C63 Coupe that ive owned since last August. Its Artic White exterior with Porcelain White Interior and Carbon Fiber Trim. Through out this time ive accumulated quite a bit of modifications to the car to get it to the beast that it is today. Previous modifications i had on the car before this latest round of mods are

    Exterior :

    - 20% tints
    - Blacked out Grill/DRL/Window Trim/Rear Spoiler/Amber Corner Lights
    - "Black Chrome" C63 + ///AMG Rear Emblems
    - 19 inch Forgestar CF10's wrapped in Nitto NT05
    - Retro Fitted Factory Halogens to 5000K Morimoto HID Projectors
    - White powdercoated Calipers with black AMG logo

    Performance :

    - Eurocharged Handheld loader with V4 tune
    - Quaife LSD
    - ROW airbox with charcoal delete and BMC Filters
    - Evosport UnderDrive Pulley
    - Girodisc 2 Piece Rotors with Girodisc Steet/Track Pads similar to ferodo ds2500
    - Secondary Cat delete with Straight Pipe Vibrant Bullet Resonators
    - MHP 180 degree Coolant Thermostat
    - MHP Thermalnator gaskets to stop heat transfer from head to intake manifold
    - Thermal/Radiant Heat wrap of Intake Manifold, Airboxes, Intake Tubes, Intake Y Pipe that connects airboxes to Intake Manifold
    - Weistec Billet Catch Can

I can review each individual part but it would be a long read and id lose most of you in the process so if you have any questions about these mods let me know and ill give you my honest feedback. My car dynoed at 470WHP on a dynojet on 50 degree very low humidity day on the northeast(sea level) so before you call BS they were GREAT conditions and i will post my sheets. Point is car ran good and was a Beast.

I ran into an issue with my original shop that i will save for another day so i looked around for a new place and it was clear Bergen Imports was the place to go. Harry was very professional and gave me full confidence handing my car over to him. He showed me his array of tools from the latest xentry MB/AMG computer programs to his knowledge of exactly what was needed for my car. One example was previous shop said my MCT trans just needed regular MB Fluid but Harry showed me documents that it was a special Blue oil specifically for the MCT transmission. So long story short he was Knowledgeable, Straight forward, and didnt promise the world cant ask for much more.

    This Round consisted of

    Exterior :

    - Revozport RBSII Big Fin Diffuser with Ground Effects Panel
    - Mode Carbon Lufstrom Front Spoiler

    Performance :

    - MBH Tri Y Headers, MBH Catless Midpipes, MBH X-pipe
    - SLS Spark Plugs (One Step Colder)
    - Eurocharged Headers Tune with new increased 7500 RPM Redline
    - C63 Black Series Oil Cooler with Modified Air Duct/Brackets to fit non BS Bumper
    - C63 Transmission Cooler
    - Using SDS to enable "Desert Mode" That kicks radiator fan in at earlier temp
    - Using Xentry to enable Auxillary Side Oil Cooler by Passenger Wheel Well to kick in at lower temp.
    - Replace Driver Side LSD Seal that was leaking due to install error of original shop
    - Full Oil Change
    - Full Trans Oil Change/ Service
    - Quaife LSD Oil drained and filled with 75W140 Redline oil

    REVIEW :
Harry had all this work done in about 8 days simply incredible turn around time especially with the Grade A quality work done all at a fair price.

    - MBH Setup - Click here to enlarge WOW ! What a monster the amount of mid range and top end power this car makes is incredible. Its an absolute monster on the highway the power delivery is viscous and only gets better/faster as the revs climb. The X pipe added in the low/mid range torque it "lost" from the big 2 inch primaries and the car takes off from any rpm and pins you into the back of your seat. We all know how brutal the sound is i dont have to do to much explaining on it. best part is ZERO drone on the highway in 7th Gear and as soon as you dip into the throttle its roars. The M156 is truly an animal when fully uncorked what an N/A powerplant so happy i got to grab one and experience the last of the Mohicans. im totally satisfied with the power and if i get bored im sure Weistec can throw me a bone Click here to enlarge

EuroCharged - No surprise here these guys just do the right thing and kick ass like its normal. I was happy with my non header tune and am ecstatic with the new header tune. Part throttle is smooth and WOT is perfectly linear from my world class Butt dyno. They also got the MCT working amazing the upshifts at redline are lightning quick accompanied by a loud pop that we all love from the MCT. Downshifts are crisp and smooth no jerkiness. The new 7500rpm redline is great and the power still feels like its climbing all the way up there plus its great to have that cushion when driving in manual mode so you dont bounce off redline.
A great breathing N/A 11.3:1 compression ratio 6.2 Liter V8 with long tube headers and fully catless exhaust spinning to 7500 rpm thats what i call an Eargasm im sure you can imagine.

SLS Spark Plugs - This was necessary since i increased over 100 wheel horsepower from stock so a colder plug was the smart thing to do. Obviously i cant feel the effects but no doubt the idle is much smoother and im sure its helping the engine run strong and healthy

Cooling Mods - Anybody with a Facelift C63 that pushes their car hard knows how awful the cooling capacity of these cars are. Within a few minutes of driving the car hard with WOT runs and constantly keeping the revs high id be able to get the car to over 250 Degrees. Keep going at this level for a bit longer (15-20 mins) and BOOM almost 280 degree oil temp and limp mode. It was like a porn star that went all softy after 10 mins Click here to enlarge No Good. Even when i had the thermal wrap, thermostat, and gaskets the car would still get there to quick for a supposed "sports coupe". The combo of the new BS coolers, earlier fan activation, and higher quality (Total) oil finally solved my biggest issue. Ive had the car for about a week now and Sunday i took the car out to push its cooling limits. As hard as i tried i could only get the oil to 235 degrees max and it would come down FAST when i got off it temporarily. AMG obviously did their homework with the black series to solve this issue. Harry/Bergen Imports had to modify the air ducts that route air to the oil cooler because of the different bumper of the Black Series. I also didnt do the BS Aux Oil Cooler just the main central one so harry went to a Hydraulics Machine Shop to get a custom line made that had the right fittings pressed into them to connect BS main oil cooler to Stock non BS c63 Aux cooler.

Overall im very happy with the latest round of mods and cant thank Harry/Bergen Imports enough for their quality work done in a short amount of time. Keith/DadsC63 also helped me alot on the BS coolers and found me the supplier so big thanks to him aswell. So i bit the bullet and became the guinea pig for the Black Series coolers on a C63 coupe with the stock bumper/ bodykit. I think anyone else that has done it also did the BS bodykit so now you guys that have a c63 and just want the cooling capacity of a BS know its doable ! Just dont do the Black Series auxiliary cooler that needs the BS Bumper. Its also not needed the temps are rock solid so all you need is the center coolers. Let me know if you need any additional information.
@Sticky I'm going to try to post pics and vids i have

    Very nicely done.

Harry and his crew do phenomenal work and the prices are very fair too. Nothing leaves his shop unless he approves it.

I know what you mean but the N54 discussion is just killing it. Honestly, out of all the German makes for whatever reason BMW forums always have the most activity and variety.

I have an M3 yet the majority of the discussion is all N54 and that is what brings the most traffic. It is what it is, the 335 is cheaper and easier to mod than most Mercedes cars so more people have it.

I'll be pushing the Mercedes side shortly especially considering the CLA45/GLA45 is going to do for BenzBoost what the N54 does for BimmerBoost. Make sens @ezec63?

    - Blinder 905 Laser Jammers
    - Rear tail lights painted to outline pattern is asked for

Review: Will give a quick breakdown of parts with my thoughts

Combo of Renntech TB, AP Exhaust, Revozport "Scoops", Carbonio Intake Boxes and V5 tune with 7800 RPM redline

    - Amazing ! This car was already a N/A beast with a great powerband all around. These mods improved throttle response significantly you breathe on the loud pedal and it just barks & takes off. Mid range has good noticeable improvements and you can feel the extra force pushing you back. Top End is where these all shine its on another level now in terms of F U pull on the highway never letting off and sending the speedo into over drive. The sounds is also incredible thanks mostly to the open valves of the AP + All the extra air being fed into the car the snap crackle and pops are insane. Throttle blips with V5 and this exhaust/header combo are down right scary will try to post vids in the coming days waiting on my gopro.

    Weistec Valve Body/ TCU

Great very under estimated modification I haven't seen anyone else run this besides JRCart in his C63 BS. The MCT already has great upshift speeds but this noticeably improves them while giving that great feeling of a little kick while shifting. Also helps improve the lift of the trans as there isn't much clutch slip during shifts it just bangs them out. Downshifts with the V5 and this are amazing perfectly matched. The TCU updates also improves the slow response of paddles shifts to a degree. Still not a DCT in terms of response but ill take this + ability to hold almost 800 WHP stock anyday over a made out of glass m3 DCT

    SpeedDriven Billet Pan -

Very impressed with the quality of this pan its a beautiful piece of machinery. Harry from Bergen Imports also agreed on the quality and said the fitment was spot on. The pan holds a bit over 1 quart more trans fluid than the stock pan and also has exterior cooling fins that help keep trans temps down. The combo of this plus my Black Series Coolers should keep temps in check through anything ill put it through and ive beat on it through some hot/humid conditions. The pan also has internal baffles to keep it from sloshing around

    Toyo R888 -

Don't have to dig into these to much im sure most of you know & if not their are plenty of reviews on the web. Velcro Grip !!

    Renntech CF Strut Bar -

Looks great in the engine bay next to the CF Intakes & Great Quality as expected from TUV Certified Renntech. I cant really pin point any specific gains in handling due to the r888's taking the lions share of credit. One thing I did notice was better steering response you move the steering wheel and the car just darts no pause or hesitation. That can also be partly attributed to the rock hard r888 side walls

    Cosmetic:

Will just say all the parts were great quality & obviously I think they look great since I paid to have them installed LOL you guys can decide for yourself

Thanks ! LOL that's not paint buddy that's Swaintech White Lightning Ceramic Coating read up on them they are the only company that does a real ceramic coat not like that jethot BS. My underhood temps decreased drastically since this coating keeps all the heat in the pipes which also in theory helps the exhaust gases escape faster.

Glad it worked out. Harry is a perfectionist. Nothing ever leaves his shop unless he personally inspects it.

Sometimes the smaller shops will show better care as they aren't just trying to get you in and out as quickly as possible to get to the next person.

I haven't heard of him but sounds like you are very happy.

    Hello everyone.

I am new to this forum and I own a 2009 C63 AMG.
I think a phenomenal job that has made ezec63 with his car.
I wonder if you can give me more information about changing oil cooler for the Black Series. Where do they buy? Can you give me the contact? Or what steps would you recommend I go ?. I I live in Mexico, so they could not take my car to the shop of Harry.

    Much appreciate your support.

And congratulations again. It is a work of art.

    Regards...

    Welcome.

I don't know the details of doing the switch. @ezec63 should be able to help you.
