What can be expected from the N55
Hi all,
I have a 2012 135i DCT with a JB4 stage 2, CPE uncatted DP, and a Remus axle back.
Dyno at 310 WHP and 424 WTQ (on a mustang dyno).
I think thats prett cool, but how strong are the intrenals in this N55?
What can it safely go up to?
Reason is, I have a C6 Z51 at 525 whp to catch. Its on!
Cheers
Craig

The internals will take much more than the stock turbo can currently output anyway.
For the N55 to really show what it is capable of, a turbo upgrade is necessary.
To catch that C6... well, it's going to be a while.

Stock motor = Max power you'll see is high 300 WHP/low-mid 400 WTQ
Until the tuning gets more advanced/aftermarket turbos hit the N55 scene, it's limited by the stock snail2018 Mercedes-Benz E63 S AMG (W213)

Here's a dyno slip from an FBO N55 (JB4, BMS DP, BMS Intake, Helix FMIC). It was run on Helix's 2WD Mustang dyno (MD-250)
@badblk335i can comment on whether he was just running pump gas or an E85 blend2018 Mercedes-Benz E63 S AMG (W213)

I made 329whp and 400 wtq on a mustang Dyno. Car is 6mt FBo, meth and e85 on 19 psi.
The problem for me is not the peak hp but the rapid loss of power over 5k rpm.

Sorry for the delayed response. Haven't been on the forums in a long time.
I have the mods Benzy listed above and was running 3 gallons of E85 with the rest 93 octane. I am having a hard time believing I put down 405.2hp and 441 tq. The car pulls very very hard but considering people running meth haven't been able to break the 400 hp mark and I did without it makes me skeptical. Everyone was spot on with their Dyno readings which is weird.
I am now running JB4 ISO and the car delivers the power much much smoother. I hope to Dyno again once the weather warms up at Undercover Performance and get other numbers to compare.

Do the N55 ISO firmware & flexfuel wires, and run 50% E85 along with map 5, for a lot more fun.
