Awesome. I like the idea of having the air tank for bursts of boost, imagine if they chilled that tank after it was compressed to say a super low temp and then blasted it in there for 10 seconds at a set psi.... Awesome

The whole "Inside Koenigsegg" series on Drive is really good.... Its amazing how pride they take in the quality of their work & making sure they deliver the best product to their customers

So they are basically using the KERS idea to pressurize an air tank then use it for FI - totally sick. That guy Urban who came up with the free valve idea is going to change the way internal combustion motors are made. So amazing.

The guys at Koenigsegg are creative thinkers, the way they just blasted on to the scene with this no limit approach is just fascinating. Just hearing what they had planned for Saab if the deal had went trough was special. Christian is definetly a pioneer who will be remembered in history. They DO at Koenigsegg, where others just talk about it elsewhere. The could have been very wealthy if he just went viral with low cost production and 1/8 price range. But that would ruin his vision of perfection. That is huge respect! He keeps his dream sustainable in a high cost country with correct volum and high exclusivity. This kind of thinking reflects the best in the buisness. It's the same for tuningcompanies, the best are those who operate witin their comfort zone. Start compromising on quality and the peak products gets lowered and your buisness it "just another".

I think its exciting to hear about new tech in engine production.
I think its insane that with all these years in automotive history, we are still using the same basic combustion engine created by Karl Benz.
I know the technology exists to have changed/improved engine making to where we don't have to take it up the butt from OPEC. This new technology will seriously improve fuel efficiency.
Now if the lobbyist from the big companies will stay out of the way, we can get somewhere.

It also bothers me that Moller, who created the Skycar is no closer to mass production than he was years ago after making the first car than can also be used in flight.
Neither political party has embraced the concept or looked into creating an infrastructure to make something like the Skycar a reality.

Automotive technology has ground to a snails pace. I blame much of if it on car manufacturers who want things to stay the way they are. Horsepower wars seem to be the only real change. There been improvement in fuel efficiency but not nearly what is possible.
Seems like we're afraid to piss off opec and GM.

Congrats to Koenigsegg for going further.
