Meth bung shaving for flush nozzle placement DIY
Decided to do a small DIY for this since some CP have the meth bung to high and needed to b e shave so the meth nozzle can be flush with inner pipe. This DIY is done on a ER Charge pipe.
This is discussed in detail here:

Note: Not responsible for any damage to you or your car, this worked on my car so will work on yours.
Suggestions:
I suggest using safety glasses and blowing out charge pipe with leaf blower or compressed air.

Better spray pattern, better optimization and as little pooling as possible.

I don't mean to belittle your efforts, but if the spray cone isn't hitting the sides of the recessed area I can't see where this would improve (or degrade) anything. As long as the meth nozzle is far enough upstream from the intake manifold, the meth should mix essentially the same way in the far-field, recessed or not.
This isn't an easy thing to predict though.

It is such a small effort to do this, but the air is going around the outside of the edge of the pipe drawing the meth into the recess wich can hurt optimization/pattern and cause a bit of pooling. I am not saying this is 100% true (we need a clear CP lol!!). But terry burger and many others state that a recessed nozzle indeed does hurt optimization and causes pooling and figured why not. I think this would be more evident with larger single nozzle setups to.

I am having a hard time believing that any meth would recirculate in the small recessed area. Even if it did, your "flush" mounting hasn't solved the problem, you'd have to plug up what is left of the hole to prevent any pressure deltas on the charge pipe wall. Maybe that's a good next step. Well that and maybe one of us should quit speculating and get some real data
Any idea what kind of speeds the charge air is doing?

When it comes to performance tuning, OCD gives you an advantage in the end definitely better to keep the nozzle flush with the pipe or even ever so slightly protruding inwards.
