Good race. I love the swapped fc's and fd's. I'm being throwing around the idea of building one.

I just sold my Twin Turbo Fully Built LS3 motor that was going ton my 67 El Camino. Dude who bought it threw a huge single on it and put it in a RX7 should be a beast. Fun cars for sure.

Solid race, a shame we don't know more without a mod list. BUT for sure the chrome wheels aren't doing the Porsche any favors, esp. since the RX7 is on DRs

Looked like the RX7 had him, but the P may have edged him out at the end. Can't tell only watched once.

Sounded to me like the RX7 driver was pedaling the Porsche. The launch was full out as the turbo has the awd advantage, but has he pulled ahead he started to pedal. At the end the driver gave it consistent gas to edge the Pcar out, and that one guy was like, "...I think the Porsche got it!" I heard lsx V8 pedaling vs. quiet stock exhaust turbo 6 cyl. Call me crazy, watch from 1:10 on.

LS V8 swap RX7 versus upgraded turbo Porsche 997 Turbo $5000 street race
LS V8 swaps into FD RX7's are very popular for several reasons. The first of which the FD RX7 is relatively light. The second of which they tend to be more reliable than the turbo rotary the cars originally came with and do not suffer from any seal issues. The displacement and torque down low is a bonus. The 997 Turbo is no slouch and the Porsche is said to have upgraded turbos but no specs are given out for either car and this seems to be just an old fashioned street race grudge match.
The RX7 is on slicks and rips the all wheel drive 997 Turbo (on gaudy large chrome wheels for some reason that are not helping it) out of the hole. The RX7 appears on a shift to lose traction and gets out of the throttle at which point the Porsche closes the gap and the RX7 has to get back in the throttle. At the finish line, it would appear the Porsche is ahead. So the Porsche looks like it edges the RX7 out but it does not seem to be the faster car. Interesting race, multiple camera angles are below.
