Straight Piping The GT3
On Z Way! Europipe "race exhaust" straight pipes, stock headers have Cats, this just deletes all mufflers after, saves appx 50-55lbs off the rear...exhaust weight 9lbs + 2lbs tips. Keeps stock diameter piping.
Very econimical @ $600, although you could consider that expensive for some metal tubes, lol. Hear amazing things about europipe, and i asked them about torque loss due to no back pressure from muffler removal, the response was
"We use the same diameter tubes as the tubes of the stock exhaust.
Some systems use bigger size 3 inch tubes. The 3 inch tubes are nice for RSR race cars but they lose a lot of torque though.
A 3 inch tubes has a 45% larger cross section compared to the stock 63mm tubes. Therefore the airspeed inside the 3 inch tube will be 45% slower as well. That slower airspeed has a negative effect on the scavenging effect at low rpm , hence the torque loss."
Ill be sure to have vids up asap, should sounds ridiculous. It might be too loud for me after a while, ill see, but it gona sound like heaven...my DD RACE CAR!!!

Well, FVD makes big claims on the forums, it is what they always do. Their stuff is pretty solid but not the best performing by any means especially for the $.
GT3 gets in it there but I think we know he sits on the Akrapovic side but he makes good points regarding living up to the claims.
Ranger makes a lot of big, bold claims and he did the same with his ASR Twin Turbo V10 M5. I got into it with him about that a long time ago but he is a good guy just thinks he is the top dog and takes that a bit far. Guy He hasn't said anything about the M5 in a long time. The exhaust sounds nice though:
Regarding the claims, it made nice power. Regarding the correction factors, easiest way to put that all to rest is to simply post the run files and let us take a look for ourselves what the weather was like.BRAND NEW IN BOX 991.2 standard/non-pse SPW cat bypass pipe for sale - $899 shipped

Europipe is great, especially for the money. I've heard it retains the same HP/TQ, save weight, and sound great. I've never heard it in person though...
In regards to Ranger, he always made claims, never provided same day "before/after" dyno of the exhaust alone, or even same day "before/after" dyno with exhaust and software, stock Vs modded, for that matter. Each dyno they did was done in colder and colder weather, STD corrections (non in SAE, which in FL make around 15 hp differences Vs SAE) and we had an average of 40 degree weather for 3 months this last winter....
The owner on the FVD exhaust orange RS in the vid is not Ranger, and lives in the same city as me; told me of the many issues with FVD about not living up to the claimed power, hence the redesigned center piece muffler, which is actually 2 lbs heavier than the stock, but did make more power Vs the straight pipe set up.... As of 2 weeks ago, he was still in a legal matter with FVD to return the exhaust and get his money back.... it does sound great though...
As of now, I have still not seen ANY GT3 same day "before/after" exhaust only dyno from any manufacturer, except for the one I did when I installed mine:
Here are the results of stock/exhaust/gas+tune (different dyno jet than the above, baselines were the same though). Here, each dyno was done in hotter and hotter weather(weather conditions below):
I just dont believe in allowing the ECU to adjust to colder and colder weather, while doing progressive dyno/mods....
The Sharwerks track exhaust with Evoms tune provides only 10 hp/12 lbs torque, the Akrapovic race system showed double those gains, with exhaust alone, but the SW track exhaust/ tune combo would cost about 33% of the Akrapovic race system (Not bad). The Akrapovic race system was not cheap in any way shape or form, but has delivered the power, sound, and weight saving I was looking for. Being limited with power adder mods on the GT3, I wanted to make sure that if I did anything, I would gain the most regardless of cost difference, instead trying 3-4 exhausts just to end up buying Akrapovic later. The results speak for themselves, and my connects with Akrapovic do not influence any of my comments. If it didnt deliver, I'd be the first to say so, and let everyone one know; but it wasnt the case.
If anyone knows of any GT3 exhaust manufacturer, which delivers the same as Akrapovic, but cheaper; please let me know.
Waiting for the vids SammyrussoIt'd be great if you could do same day "before/after" dyno in order to verify the "no power/torque loss". Since it retains the same cats, I believe it wont loss any... FVD's straight pipe set up showed some low end torque losses due to the change of cats from the stock 400 cel to FVD's 200 cel.
