Another rebirth after another death
Long story made short. Left turn, wet road, oil patch, light pole. Sucks I just got my antique plates on too. On a brighter note I've been housing a mk2 gti that was supposed to receive a revival in the coming months, but the agenda has been forced and it begins now.
and now
so I got home with the help of boostaddict and began planning and tearing down this chassis in preparation for the mk2 build.
ok lets do this

some wet sanding from the other day
and then some buffing
90% done with the buffing
Scored some big bumper flares in the junkyard that ive been trying to find online to no avail. They were pretty chalky looking so I gave them a little rejuvenation.
This week I began sanding the hood, fenders, and bumpers in preparation for a re-spray that will hopefully be happening this weekend.
In the midst of my sanding the USPS truck delivered an ecs tuning package I've been awaiting for some time now. New door handles, moulding grommets, trim clips, bumper guides, and door handle gaskets.

Got a couple small things accomplished today. Roof trim, door handles, and door mouldings were installed. Installing the roof trim was a giant pain in the rectum. Ended up chipping some of my paint and ripping part of the seal on the passenger side.
On a brighter note I've got a few cool parts to put on

Sorry about the light pole but it sort of forced your hand on a new project. So far so good, I wish you luck and am looking forward to watching this unfold!

I manage to make some pretty good progress this weekend and today. After a couple small hurdles I was able to get my fenders, bumpers, and hood painted, as well as get my new control arms installed.
