Doubtful. The only COBB car that has on-the-fly map switching is the GTR & it's because you can download the maps into the ECU and switch them thru in the center display/NAV screen.

If GIAC can do it, so can Cobb. It's just a matter of time.

Okay, base line dyno numbers seem pretty good, but the logs look like $#@!. I have always had luck with shell 93, but it looks like someone pissed in it based on every log including stock. Anywho.

Car is a 2011 335is manual with 3,000 miles on it and 100% stock running Cobb Stage 1 Aggressive with Shell 93 Octane. The dyno was completed at Speed Inc (see dyno sheet for more info). It was the first time to the shop, but it was very professional and an obviously utilized dyno. The guy completing my dyno's was actually the shops tuner and over qualified for what I needed, but he was great to work with.

I completed 3 pulls, first two on stage one with no cool down between them. You can see how much of a power hit I took from having intake temps going from 94 to 168 on the first pull to 115 to 192. Its only about a 20 degree delta across the pull but cost me 10-20 whp over the entire pull.

The last pull was the stock pull and after I let the car cool down a bit to get an accurate stock reading. Like I noted above, timing looks like $#@! and I really am glad I am going with the etune so we can clean that up and run safe and clean. I really should have done some logging before hand to make sure I was on the proper map, but being I really care about the stage 2+ and e30 maps, this dyno was simply to get a base line.

I also included a summary of the stage one map from my first 335i ran on a different dyno and today. Based on the powertrain losses here, I feel it’s pretty accurate looking at the stock numbers compared to the previous dyno being a little high.

Let me know if anyone wants to see more info on the logs.

    Cheers,
    James

I think your timing looks choppy because you are getting throttle closures - look at your boost curve. Its a roller coaster.. That's what I've been b!tching about ever since Cobb came to the N54 world.

I think you need to get Stage 2 hardware and then run Stage 2+ maps Linear Throttle That did it for me and the choppiness is almost entirely gone.

I think you were spot on. Installed dps, fmic, and intake today, did a couple pulls on the way home on stage 2+ ST and every one was clean. I am on the same tank of gas. Logs have been shipped off to jake@PFT

You were getting really bad boost oscillations in the dyno logs.

93 octane map is going very nicely, picked up about 1.0 - 1.5 psi across the band and a degree or so of timing as well. I tried the OTS e30 map with a combination of 7 gallons of shell 93 and 2.45 gallons of e85. Watching cylinder 5 correction (been the noisest for me) on the accessport on a couple pulls home showed a couple -3 drops a few times and then was clean. So I pulled a log and when I got home saw that every other cylinder but 5 was showing massive drops (8s and 9s) which scares me a bit. I went and dropped some more e85 in thinking the blend must be $#@!. Did a couple of pulls to see if it helped and the timing drops were 3 range on a couple cylinders but still $#@!.

So, I am babying this tank to empty and will go back to finish off the 93 map. I will find a new e85 station and pump to a gas can and do the added water and measure content approach. The massive timing drops have me worried and I really dont want to risk the engine any more until I know I am working with good fule.

What kind of boost levels are you seeing with S2+ Aggressive maps? My car tops out at 18.5 psi true manifold pressure regardless of IAT.

I've not yet messed with the E30 or the race maps. I barely get enough traction as it is. I'll be getting an LSD around April.
