Camera car is the BHT 996 that I think took out the 800hp GS Vette. A video on his page has him trapping 175 in a 1/2 mile.. The other car running away from it is the 996 in the video above.

My friend Gus took the #2 spot in the Vette shootout trapping 172. That LMR Vette took 1st with a pass of 187. It made another pass @ 209mph but not during the shootout run.. Holy Sh*t!

Unless there were some set guidelines/rules, these things are "Run what you 'brung'" in my opinion. GTR guys shouldn't be complaining if they didn't bring enough.

To my knowledge the Vette has AC, seats and power windows/locks. Beyond that it has a massive tank for meth/ice. It's heavier than stock so I really don't see the damn beef. I hate sore losers

The competition is called King Of The STREET!! That car isnt streetable, now i agree as per the rules it is the winner and the car is sick, but for a street car competition a car that isnt street able shouldnt be aloud.

Not sure why the car isn't streetable...I've seen plenty of "race" cars driven on the street. I really wonder how "streetable" any of these 1000-1400 hp gallardo's/gtr's are. I doubt they see any real daily use, besides meets/shows/events. I could be wrong though...

Nah, they are the VT996 from Vortex Tuning. Bought them back when I had my E90.
