Yeah figured how to eliminate/reduce WG rattle. I've gotten it down to 15% at idle. My goal was 0%, but I'm not sure that's possible with tables in ATR.

thought so. That's pretty cool. I have never tried to play with this specifically, personally.

did you have rattle at idle?

Doesnt this just make the car more laggy though? I thought you want the waste gates partially closed at low load to give a quick spool?

Oh, got it. I assumed this functionality already existed on Cobb. I am of the opinion though that people should just get their rattle fixed the right way (hardware). I had horrible rattle and lived with it for the first 10k I owned the car. No wastegate software fix would work. Adjusted wastegates and 15 minutes later all was well. I don't rattle at all now. Obviously it won't always be that easy, but trading away drivability/performance as a patch for improperly setup hardware seems sketchy.

The big benefit is better gas mileage if you can adjust that to ful open at low rpm and high gear (where you don't care about prespool)

my rattle is due to the front turbo bore housing... need new turbos, which I will attempt soon after I get some stock tune history in the DME. Lag is tough for me to diagnose since my WG is defective... I have lag either way. When its your front WG rattling, its not so easy to adjust and the adjustment is only good for a loose shaft which is 1 of the potential issues.

Mainly this was an exercise in curiosity... I'm curious do the pro-tuners offer this as an option? @dzenno@ProTUNING Freaks

Yeah, I don't see a reason why we couldn't do that but so far I personally haven't been asked to provide that setup for anyone yet...I did ask Cobb a while back to possibly just have a checkbox in the Advanced Parameters for it so its easy for the end user to turn on/off so I think something about it may be on their TODO list

Not so easy as a check box… its dynamic based on multiple parameters. Not like piggies which can set based on DME throttle. What table(s) would you adjust? Probing your ATR knowledge, if you bite Click here to enlarge

Something I've been interested in for a while(and it looks like I will finally have time this weekend to get started on playing with) is the VANOS tables. Before I start playing with it I have a questions, I assumed VANOS values would be referencing intake/exhaust lobe centerline in crank degrees but looking at ATR this is not the case. So, what exactly are the "degrees" in reference to?

You're right it's crank deg -360 to 360 iirc. It would be difficult to to confirm any gains without a dyno. I increased the warm intake lower load cells to account for taper and reduced load in the heat and milder tunes.

I'm not really trying to go for performance gains with it yet, i'm going to try to see if i can tune in a set of "ghost cams" to $#@! with my friends haha
