    Auction vehicles

Has anyone on here ever bought a car from an auction? I'm helping my brother look for a car and I came upon a 750Li that's was seized from a drug related incident and is now up for auction. I've had a friend that has bought a similar car from the same auction for under $10000. What I'm concerned about is if the cars value is depreciated because of it being seized and in this type of auction?

$46500, I went through a used car dealer that gets them at auctions and charges $1500+ auction price. Basically, he sent me a list of all the M3s coming to auction all over the country, over the next few weeks. He showed me what they have been selling for and what he thinks we would get it at. I gave him the max i wanted to pay (47000), put the $5000 down, he got the car at 44k and i paid his fee's on top, pluse auction fee ect.
