S63 Showcar
Not sure if anyone saw these pics but this thing is so bad ass - the seats look like the C63 BS Euro seats (although not really suited for an S class) and the roll cage is amazing:
Would love to know more about this particular car - this is about all I could find on it:
"The S63 AMG showcar is a homage to the impressive history of powerful AMG V8 engines: visually this high-performance sedan resembles the spectacular 300 SEL 6.8 AMG, the racing car that won a class victory and second place in the overall ranking for AMG at the 24-hour race in Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) in 1971 – and made the company world-famous overnight.

Really cool. I'd roll one if given the chance.
The seats look too small because of how big the S class is, but I understand their purpose.

The link talks about the motor more than the car. Who built this S-Class and with what purpose?
Edit: Looks like it was Mercedes as an homage to a race car? Is that right?BRAND NEW IN BOX 991.2 standard/non-pse SPW cat bypass pipe for sale - $899 shipped
New generic 991.2 PSE bypass pipes - $499 shipped

yes - this bad mo fo - I should have known....this thing is legendary. I'm glad to see they honored it by stripping down the S63. Notice the similar interior bare roofs ? What an awesome homage. I'd give my left nut to run these back to back around Spa.
I forgot about this car and should have recognized the historic similarities. amazing stuff - -absolutely priceless.
