More wheelspin uphill....?
I have noticed that going uphill I get much more wheel spin.. I go over this bridge every day and if I floor it in 2nd gear going up it the car will squat go a little sideways and spin through all of 2nd. But if I do the same at the top or going down the bridge it will hook up just fine.. I always thought going uphill would transfer more weight to the rear adding more traction.

Without getting too nerdy on you, it has to do with the acceleration of gravity, the mass of your car and the force of friction. The steeper the angle, the less weight pushing down on the tires and the less friction (traction) you'll have.

Exactly...thats why I was did a race on a bridge and I was at 90mph and started to head up hill and my traction control kicked in.

Ya I guess it makes sense now its like if you were to pedal a bike really fast up a very steep incline the back tire would spin. Probably not the best example but I can see it now, lol.

Really? So how much would the normal force to the ground change if you tilted the ground 90 degrees vertically? The normal force to the ground would be zero due to the force of gravity, and hence zero traction. The angle has a lot to do with traction, the same is said for going downhill. Maximum force is exerted perpendicular to the direction of gravity where the sin(90deg) = 1.
The joints in the bridge could be exacerbating the problem as well, but the angle cannot be ignored either.Some people live long, meaningful lives.

I love the JB4's "On-Touch" feature for the DSC. Makes the car start with it set to DTC. Having traction control fully on is freaking dangerous. The throttle cut is way to aggressive. Especially when you are expecting to be able to pull out into a gap in traffic and accelerate out of the way.
