Camaro ZL1 vs Boss 302 LS
Interesting article and numbers considering the Camaro's obvious power advantage... Looking forward to a GT500 comparison for the 2013 model.

The HP advantage is clear IMO Sticky... The ZL1 has a near 140hp/175lb ft tq advantage power wise. So thats whats making it the lap times for the car, Randy Pobst is a talented driver and very consistent for sure. The Camaro sounds to be more stable under hard braking and rough surfaces with the IRS. The SRA in the Boss clearly not quite as good, the aftermarket could easily fix that for a few hundred bucks. I'm impressed with the times on both cars lap wise and very impressed with the acceleration numbers on the Boss vs the Zl1. The GT500 and its 650hp arrives in the summer. The match between those two should be interesting...

the horse power wars have just begun between these two cars...ford needs to bring back the Ford GT with the 2013 GT500 motor in it and i bet it would mop the floor with the ZR1

The ZL1 is a track monster. But I'm disappointed with its trap speed of 117.4 Considering it has 580hp and 4k lbs. Only 3mph faster then the Boss 302 LS!?

honestly we were just as surprised it didnt put up better numbers....it makes us think chevy purpose built the zl1 for just the track and not straightline speed....i guess we will see once it gets into other peoples hands....boggles my mind tho how the caddy can put up better numbers and the zl1 has more power AND launch control which we dont have
