Procede Race Gas Logs 10psi with Timing drops.
As suggested from forum members, I filled up with 100 sunco unleaded race gas mixed with my 91 octane. Octane approximately 94-95 octane.
Nearly FBO, except 2nd cats. 6mt Procede rev 2a. Ambient 58F outside. Tried both procede 7-11 and 7-29 maps. 10psi autotune off for both and 100% ign correction. Still seeing timing drops. Can we rule out the fuel now?
Map 7-11 log
Map 7-29 log
What do you guys think? Hardware or software?

Can you log with the procede in pass through mode? To see how your car is doing in stock form. If it is still unhappy I would assume hardware, though no clue about what would do this. If everything seems ok when logging stock boost/timing/fuel it might be cheap to borrow or buy (with a 14day return policy) a jb4 just to test if it is something wrong with your piggyback. Of course getting a new procede could do the trick, I dont know if they have a nice return policy at Vishnu.

Why is your tune still trying to target stock timing? Stock timing is simply impossible to sustain on raised boost unless you are on 100 plus octane. What was your mixture? X gallons of 91 with Y gallons of 100, what is x and y?

Timing looks a little high for 100% ic. Post a screen shot of the settings. Btw 10% ut is closer to 11psi.

how many gallons of each?
but that shouldnt be an isue either. even 93 oct can support up to 15 psi, so seeing knock at 10/11 psi is disturbing. get the JB4, try it out, i bet it solves your issue

if i didnt just change laptops, i could show you it does. especialy if higher than 93+ octane. if he were running 14+ psi, i could see it POSSIBLY becoming an issue, but he is boosting 10/11 psi, the cars do that when its cold out. 93 octane is fine for that, so when he runs higher, like he is, it becomes a mystery

Can carbon buildup actually cause timing drops like this? Shiv noted that if its not the plugs it can be this??

If I had my BT logs from pre-RB's, i would continue to debate, but i cant produce them anymore
if he was strictly 91 octane, you would have a point, but not at 93, probably 95+octane

I dont see how 10 psi and 100 + octane with FBO cannot sustain stock timing? 10 psi is only 2 psi more than stock, the turbos are not screaming and the IATs are probably fine, plus the octane.
I am curious about this, I might run a map 6 on my JB4 with 10 psi just to see if my timing is near stock. Some people live long, meaningful lives.
Other people eat shit and die.
I'm not racist, I hate everybody equally; especially fat people.

10 psi and timing drops with 95-96 octane...There is some other issue if it cant even run stock timing.

I am in Irvine, CA. I guess I could do some logs with the JB4. Shoot me an email [email protected]
Thanks!

I am running approx 94-95 octane. I'll try a couple more logs in pass thru mode (map 0) Spark plugs were changed 1000 miles ago at the dealer.

At this point try out the JB4 tune and log just to see and rule out the tune...The person that is offering to let you borrow and test is the man!

Could be a hardware problem with the tune. Maybe it's raising the advance set points, etc, when it isn't supposed to be. Try another box/harness to eliminate that as a possible cause. Logging with a JB4 would also serve the same purpose.

Update:
I cleaned both Vanos solenoids with compressed air. Followed the DIY. As stated in the DIY, impossible to tell the condition of the solenoids by just looking at it. I cleaned it regardless as preventative maintenance and to eliminate a variable.
I did another log once the weather dried. Ambient 47 F. 10psi, 100% ign correction. Still on race gas mix (94-95 octane)
This time I added Fuel Pressure as a log since Robert @ Vishnu recommended that may be one way to tell if fuel pump is on its way out.
Still seeing timing drops. How does fuel pressure look? Is it healthy for my pump?

Fuels not the issue. You just need some tune refinmen. Proceed gives you all these tools. Timing looks a little high for 100% ic. You could be misunderstanding the global adjustments. Log ign cor and a screen shot of you settings. Wg looks to need some refinement also. Log wg compensation and DC too. And throw in iat
Truthfully Robert doesn't seemlike thebest tech source.
