AIM Solo GPS Lap timer is here!

The AIM SOLO GPS Lap timer is here! We got them and have been testing it with a lot of success! Besides lap times, it does 0-60, 1/4 mile and more making it very helpful for evaluating tunes. There's even a version that will read ECU Data Streams (including OBD-II CAN) and data log them.

Its battery powered so there's nothing to connect - just put it on your dash or windshield and go. I'm carrying one around with me just as a quick tuning aid.

    Check it out here:

We're using it an Bonneville this week and its just amazing. A great tool for anyone wanting to do speed or lap time analysis. The overlays are fantastic.

Wow, interesting. I know GPS is listed but does it have a built-in accelerometer? What are the 1/4th 0-60 times based off of? Also, any idea if they will be adding 60-130?

The AIM solo has a built in 3-axis +/- 6G accelerometer. The 1/4 and 0-60 times are based off of acceleration and GPS. By having an accelerometer, the unit can interpolate very accurately between GPS sames, resulting in 1/100 second accuracy even with a 10Hz GPS signal. They have a variey of speeds, and you can easily do 60-130 with Race Studio 2.

We're interested in doing group buys, so who wants in?
