meth mixture testing
I forget my mixture from time to time so I test it out before putting it in the car. the first you will barely see a flame which is probably less then a 50/50 and the second one is a pretty big flame which is probably around 75/25
ive had this meth for almost a year now and its still very flammable
edit: yes i was bored

Hectic. I don't know why people keep saying methanol burns white and you cannot see the flame. Can you do a pure meth test for us?

Sadly the 2 barrels I have left are mixed already. One was mixed in with boost juice when it was almost empty so the mixture should be like a 65/35 or a little more and the other 5 gallon barrel has about 1 gallon of water in it.
Ya but I remember some people were staying that it loses it's flammability when in storage

My meth container, the WW tank, was topped about 6 month ago when the car was garaged during winter. The tank has a 2 mm ventilation hole on the cap. If some of the 70/30 meth solution disappeared during the storage it was not noticeable anyway. What surprised me more though was that the mixture seems to hold the meth content well. The max boost with active Autotune was the same as last year on the same meth/water mixture and the same fuel. It seems to safe to conclude meth/water mixture can be stored for many months without degrading.

nice testing man, i gotta get me some of those barrels, 50/50 may not cut it for big power. makes me want to mix my boost juice with some pure meth.

When I bought my meth at the track, the guy did say it needs to be sealed up well because it absorbs water. I mix my meth with a lot of water anyway, so I don't really care. If you are using pure meth to power your racecar, it would definitely be an issue. I guess it would lose flamability if it obsorbed water, so maybe that's what they were talking about?

meth doesn't "absorb" water...it just evaporates...
cool vid though i run 90/10 in the washer fluid tank

Methanol absorbs water.
Wikpedia
Methanol is hygroscopic, it will absorb water vapor directly from the atmosphere. Because absorbed water dilutes the fuel value of the methanol (although, it suppresses engine knock), and may cause phase separation of methanol-gasoline blends, containers of methanol fuels must be kept tightly sealed.
