MHP v3 CDT & Filter Only SL65 Dyno Results: 708HP/989lb/ft at the Crank on 93 Octane!

Despite non stop rain today we hit the dyno with the SL65 today to see the improvements made via MHP’s v3 CDT (ECU & TCU Tuning) vs stock with BMC filters, and here are the results. I used the same dyno as when I was stock (with filters then too), same brand of 93 octane (Mobil), 4th gear, and SAE correction factor with smoothing set at 5.

    Best pull of 567rwhp/791rwtq SAE

    Backed up with 566rwhp/778rwtq SAE

    Then 563rwhp/790rwtq SAE

Assuming 20% drivetrain loss that equates to 708HP and 989lb/ft at the crank with just tuning and filters on pump gas. We are pleased and will try a dedicated 100 octane tune next.

Just curious, what are the dyno records for tune only on the SL65?

As far as I know that's it. Every other car I've come across with higher numbers was either a dynapack or had more mods (IC pump, intake, exhaust, etc). I think we're up 50rwtq+ over everyone in the TQ dept and 20rwhp or so above what I've seen. I resubmitted the dragtimes entry with dyno graph, it should be live again soon.

Here is the SL65 top 10, please keep in mind current entry #2 is a Vbox 1/4 mile and Dyna Pack dyno. VBox 1/4s are not supposed to be allowed on Dragtimes but such is life.

As you can see we made more signficantly more torque than even the RT tuned SL65 BS.

#3 currently is EVOms in HP with 582rw (with custom exhaust, ecu, filters, and IC pump upgrade) but tq is only 698rw, we have 93rwtq over them with tuning/filters and only 16rwhp less.

Entry #4 is a RT race gas tune SL65 with RT airboxes , look at the dynograph A/Fs, too lean for my taste anyway: http://www.dragtimes.com/2005-Merced...aphs-7670.html the HP numbers are also questionable because the trap for his 10.80 car (#1 SL65 on DTs currently) is only 125mph?

Entry #5 is a stock SL65 BS on RT's dyno. We beat it by 4rwhp and 95rwtq SAE.

Entry #6 is a ECU tune and filter only RT car and it makes good HP 562rw but only 713rwtq, so we are up 78rwtq and 4rwhp.

Then there's Treynor's SL65 with RT ECU/TCU, airboxes and 543rwhp/713rwtq. Identical torque to the RT car above him.

Anyway all due respect to RENNtech they've certainly earned their place in the 65 market, in fact they own it, but we have a new goal and it involves breaking another 65 record. Click here to enlarge

It is pretty easy to remove suspect entries, just let them know. I can do it for you if you like.

Please do. I emailed info@dragtimes.com at the same time we submitted the sl65 entry and the entry was up (until dyno graph added) but they haven't removed it.

    Thank you!

You get faster results posting on their forum, took care of it for you. I would expect to see it down in the next 8-10 hours.
