Another Tesla Model 3 Performance race - Drag and roll versus BMW G15 M850i and Mercedes-AMG W213 E63 S
You likely already saw the completely misleading drag race video involving a Tesla Model 3 Performance by Top Gear. Well, now Carwow gets to play with the Tesla and considering this is Carwow you should not expect a quality comparison.
Carwow decides to not compare the performance against cars in its class likely so they can make a big fuss over the performance value offered and exaggerate the performance. They pit the Model 3 against the BMW M850i and the Mercedes-AMG E63 S.
We actually get a somewhat realistic launch and the E63 S takes off and pulls away. The M850i struggle a bit but manages to edge the Model 3. This means a roll race should be a massacre for the Tesla.
Times (still can't figure out a trap speed Carwow?):
E63 - 11.3
M850i - 11.6
Model 3 - 11.8
Now again Carwow does not put the cars in the right gear from a roll. They just leave it up to the automatic which puts the gasoline powered cars immediately at a disadvantage. Why does Carwow refuse to put cars in the right gear to start a roll race? Why? Why do they hate doing things logically?
The Tesla just goes while the BMW and E63 have to wait for the computer to shift into the correct gear. This is completely misleading as to the true straightline capability. Regardless, the Tesla loses to all three but it is closer than it should be.
You still haven't learned anything, eh Carwow?
