2015 Lamborghini Aventador SV (Superveloce) test figures - 3900 pounds curb weight, [email protected] 1/4 mile
The Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce is a hell of a performance car. Lamborghini put the world on notice when the Aventador SV broke the 7 minute lap barrier at the Nurburgring with a crazy fast lap. Now MotorTrend gets their hands on the highest performance Lamborghini for a test.
It is no lightweight at 3900 pounds but it is roughly 200 pounds lighter than a standard Aventador. Despite the bulk it handles extremely well.
It pulls 1.05g on the skidpad. At Willow Springs it managed a 1:25.41 laptime which tops the GT-R Nismo, 911 Turbo S, and the McLaren 650S.
It basically does everything better than a standard Aventador as it should considering the $500k price tag.
The downsides? Apparently it is not much a daily driver with poor visibility as well as being a bit cramped. Oh no, potential owners will definitely be swayed by this. The gas mileage might scare them off as well.
What this car happens to be is the highest performance factory Lamborghini ever produced and it is doing it with naturally aspirated power which is a rarity these days. Anybody who can afford one gets to enjoy one of the highest performance and most exclusive track cars in production.
Somebody lend us one for some 'testing' now.
