I start with new BMW OEM support parts, 6 of them, one for each set of intake valves and machine them in 6 different steps/sites, to allow a greater ratio of lift for the same intake cam and eccentric cam lift. It is like adding a greater rocker ratio. Net result is just over 1mm additional intake valves lift d 2-3* more intake duration. Ist like adding a mild cam but way easier. Can be done by diy'er or shop. Install tool makes much easier and less chance of stripping spring bolt.

Feedback on S55 MILVs install.
"Overall the car feels more 'torquier' everywhere in RPM driving around town".
Has sputtering on WOT acceleration, Have new NGK plugs to install.
No tune after MILVs install. Stock turbos.
Car-- S55, BM3 flash, E85, maxpsi front mount intakes, CSF IC, decatted midcenter, meth, custom e85 map from Paul Johnson
He's chasing a WOT accel sputtering issue after install. ?plugs? gap?
Maybe dyno after? IDK
I’m going to start moving on this.
I bought a tablet, will be buying MHD a do a stock - Stage 2+ - MILV custom tune dyno
Bob from Stage FP (formally BPC) he’s the one created the original tunes for these mods.
I so look forward to this plan and results.

One thing I've learned about these turbo cars so far is that the DMEs are targeting a load, not a boost point. So I think in theory, an N55 car with MILVs installed might make the same peak power as one without, but at a lower boost level. Which is still, obviously, a good thing! But it makes A/B comparisons difficult. You gotta juice the tune up more if you want more power. It would still be nice to see more area under the curve.
Even on later N55s with the electronic wastegate and the accompanied larger turbocharger, the turbo runs out of steam before the fuel system. So MILVs *ought* to equal more power to some degree, at least at the limit of the stock turbo system.
I really like the website.
Well only some tunes target load. JB4 targets boost, OTS MHD target load, custom tunes can be based on wgdc target. If you slap them in and don't change anything on the tune, yes not much will happen. But you can still have a load based tune that takes advantage of these.
