Yes that and the larger turbos, revised manifold, etc. It's like a 150whp+ difference tuned.

The s63tu starting in 2015 (I think) is way better, but costs a lot more. If you care about racing get one of those. :)
Tweaked the PID tuning a bit and saw some more improvement. Now I just need to get the shift boost logic adjusted and I think we'll be pretty well maxed out for E30. Then back to (boring) 91 octane tuning.

The F85 is flowing much more up top. In stock form it is providing more power than a tuned E70 X5M.
Now, with the new manifold and turbos I don't see any reason the E70 X5M can't match the F85 X5M.
What you're seeing with a tune here from BMS is major torque gains down low. It's the top end of the curve where the old X5M struggles.
Terry, where do you see IDC at this point? Is there much room left to keep a set of upgraded stock housing turbos breathing up top? I've always been a pump gas guy, so I'm not too interested in e85 or supplemental fueling numbers.
The s63tu cars are in the low 11s, I think. But I'll have to find a good apples to apples comparison to see how much faster another 100whp+ gets you.
Great job Terry!
Glad to see this, but honestly would think there is so much more room on the latest N63tu in the 50i.
The tune I had on my older X5M put down similar numbers Vbox, albeit quicker to 100. Best trap tuned I saw was 112 while a stock 15 50i will turn that.
Terry, I'm more than willing to let you play with and log on my 15. Let me know.
You make a point about the potential of the new one.
A JB4 alone will make a big difference it just needs to be developed. Should be easier now that Terry has experience with the various X5M's.

I may take you up on the n63tu one of these days. I'm sure it has more in it, just would need to develop a JB4 for it.
Terry, I'm extremely interested. I believe hutch and I reached out months ago, looking for a solution. I'm sitting on a s63 with stage 1 Pure Turbos & catless DPs. I'm needing a solution to to make this run like it should... I have dynoed every step... I need fine tuning and real time data logging and long term logging. HELP! lol
Sorry for the late reply. Just email us, it will work for you. :)
Terry 12.0 @ 119 is great for a E70 tune only.
What at are you seeing on the F85 X5M ?
I don't think he has tested it yet. @Terry@BMS
Considering the incremental decreases made in quarter mile times as you've tweaked more, is this something that can be accomplished via emailing logs back and forth, requires hands-on tuning done by you or is this something that will come preloaded in the JB4 and will be readily available to everyone who buys one fresh outta the box?
At time I didn't have the custom intake, I flashed back to a stock tune even though I had catless downpipes (and a CEL to go with it) and was still experiencing the reduced power warning which you can see as the power breaks up the top end before kicking the error. At that time I also had a boost leak at the charge pipes and I think I still had a vacuum pump oil leak as well. Fixing the boost and vacuum leaks and resetting adaptations made a nice difference in power, even on a stock tune. It's a beast on stage 2 so I can only imagine how it'll be with my current mods waiting to go on.
Ummm, no tune is going to fix a problem with your hardware. Get that sorted before you even think about stomping on it or getting the car tuned. A fault vacuum line can cost you a motor. I've been there and it wasn't fun.
