The only reason people were having problems with the 450 is because they were doing shoddy installs with cheap hose etc. Putting one in the bucket with quality parts will yield no issues and a lot of fuel. Now that I figured out a very easy way to run one inline, I am prob going to pull my 044 out of the tank and run the 450 inline as well. But from testing today, the 450 and 044 inline controlled by the factory PWM is holding pressures right on target.
The 450 is considerably better.
I disagree...I have a section of gates submersible hose here that shows signs of degradation and blew out.

I think what is happening is...
1. Their hose is still degrading over time.
2. The surge pressure is pretty high when we go from 50% PWM to 100% PWM and it is compounded by the fact that we are installing a union or a tee within inches of the output that serves as a restriction for pressure to build at that point.
On the stock system, that initial shock is dispersed along 4 feet of accordion style fuel hose before it hits it's first restriction.
With the 450 or the 255 inline that output is again dispersed over that 4 foot section of stock line.
For most people, that 450 pump simply isn't needed..it's overkill for somebody running stock turbos, has a stock HPFP, and is running E60.
As for your fix with supplied parts...if you're referring clamping a section of hose on to the input side of the 450 pump that is .225"s long, smooth, and no barb...I don't know that I'd consider that a good long term solution. JMO ;)
Well since I still cant quote and everything sticky has told me to do has not fixed it. I guess I wont quote. For Steves post above. The gates hose is junk, it gave me problems too. Went away from it, problems went away. I never run tee's in my fuel systems whenever I can help it, my union is a nice smooth Y which poses no restriction for shock to build up. If you really think I would try to clamp a hose to that connection on the inlet of that pump I guess you do not understand how I do things yet....:) The solution would work very well long term, but I would not run it loing term with the supplied parts, I would have the parts I need CNC'd and use those instead of what comes in the kit. I will email you tonight and let you know how this 044 is holding up. Testing got side lined by a water leak today... figures..

This is NOT going to get released as a stand alone option due to complications. It MAY be released at a later time with an inline kit but I haven't determined if that will happen and it won't be for some time as I want to make sure it is a robust setup. Consequently it'll remain in testing for quite a while.

Trying so hard to understand and picture this LOL. But yea, that gates hose is not the first one I've seen ripped open.
If you need any testing on single turbo or anything more than stock turbos. I'm down to send payment and try a new pump setup out once you have some beta testings and other things covered.

Thought I'd post some recent stuff on the LPFP front for those that are interested.
I have a few things I'm working on right now...two in particular.
The first one is an F series bucket I got with a DOA (to me) pump.
I rebuilt the bucket and put in a 450 E85 certified pump and have flow tested it.

The specs as tested on my bench:
Pump = Walbro 450 E85 certified pump
Voltage = 13.5 volts
Current = 21 amps
Flows = .95gpm
This was significant because I am also testing my new E85 certified bucket for the E series cars that also has the 450 pump in it. It too now flows to pretty much the exact same specs with my custom fittings and setup that also retains the venturi and is 100% PNP :dance:
Will take a similar video and post it up shortly.
