Hypercar Development claims to make 760 whp from the stock McLaren M838T turbochargers on pump gas

Color us skeptical but BoostAddict does not trust Hypercar Developments claims. First of all, they tend to exaggerate and not support their performance figures. Secondly, they develop needlessly complex and expensive tri-turbo systems which just seem to be looking for a sucker with deep pockets.

Their Hyper800 package previously dyno'd 711 wheel horsepower. They now claim to be making 760 rear wheel horsepower with the 800R package.

The car certainly put up the numbers on the dyno:

However, that this is done on pump gas is misleading as methanol injection is making it possible. Furthermore, is this with stock turbochargers or stock housings?

Maybe they are doing this as they claim but there are some concerning stories floating about regarding this company.

Let's see them prove the product on the track and clarify the details.

Isn’t the redline something like 8500 rpm? Stock or modified, that turbo isn’t cutting it.

Peak power at 2000 rpm below the redline. They are boost bombing the crap out of it in the midrange.

The lack of transparency and "proprietary" secretive formula is making them the next MHP or Mercedes AMGs or Dime Racing or twin turbo lambos. There seems to be multiple lawsuits against them from unsatisfied customers on another McLaren forum.

It's gonna be a long read...about 17-18 pages iirc.

TLDR: HCD customer makes post regarding his upcoming build, bold claims about power etc typical marketing talk, gets called out by others about fake account etc and shilling HCD products, unsatusfied customer posts YouTube video exposing HCD and his experiences, HCD employee gets pissed and starts flaming everyone, naive HCD customers who want to protect their car's resell value and have more money than sense from butt dyno come in, multiple lawsuits are exposed, forum owner gets involved...

From what it seems, they're far from the McLaren "experts". The status of their shop car exposed on the YouTube video paints a shop that's more interested in selling marked up cosmetic kits and ebay chinese led stripes than actual performance tuning. Seems like they're also missing the MDS computer, kind of essential if you're going to be tuning and diagnosing McLarens.

Sounds cool for marketing, but why overcomplicate things. If it smells like fish, feels like fish, than it's probably fish.

Exactly. Sticky summed it up well... anyone that knows that they're doing wouldn't touch a tri-turbo system. Just looking for people with more money than automotive knowledge.
